1965 Pontiac GTO tri power 4 speed

This GTO was originally 389 tri power 4 speed and has been restored with upgrades focused on driving it back in the 90s by a meticulous and talented Pontiac enthusiast with no expense spared. Its been in California and I have history of the car since the mid 1970s. Great driving car with power steering you can park with one-finger ease. Starts easy and idles well even when cold. Engine is very tight and STRONG with no leaks. Power disc brakes in front are smooth and this car stops very well. Steering and sway bars are also obviously upgraded with no play in steering and no body roll around curves with no squeaks or rattles. Engine sounds mild at idle and runs very smooth and tame on its center 2 barrel carb until you open the other two carbs after half throttle and you quickly realize this is an absolute BEAST! Transmission and clutch work beautifully with positive shift linkage that has no slop and no noises or difficulty. Its an absolute pleasure to drive. The wheels look original but they are 15" and it now has an electric fan for whatever reason. I was told the Chevelle 12 bolt was stronger and narrower than the Pontiac giving it room for more rear tire. The Engine I believe is the original 389 block with upgrades to the heads and built to stay together . The entire frame was painted steel grey while it was apart and has coil over shocks on all 4 corners.
