1969 Pontiac Trans Am Rare

I listed this car a couple months ago and had some people fabricating stories about it on websites off Ebay. I have had other Ebay members tell me they have had similar problems. That being the case I have taken many new pictures to clarify that they are total fabrications. First though I would like to mention I am an expert on these 1969 TA's having owned over a dozen of them personally. My name is Lance Kramer and if you do a search that includes my name and 1969 RAV Trans Am you can see several articles about the first one I restored back in 1988. I also personally talked to 3 of the people directly involved in the development of the 1969 TA while restoring that car. I am not bragging about anything just want potential buyers to know I am very knowledgeable about these cars. A little history on the car. The first was the owner of the dealership that originally sold the car and I personally spoke to him on the phone shortly after buying it. The second was another person in Minnesota who drove the car for many years. He got so many tickets with it because it was so easily spotted that he got mad when he lost his license so he painted it black, got a radar detector and never got another ticket. The 3rd owner did not own it long and sold it to a guy in Bemidji,Mn. He did not drive it much and mostly sat. That is who I purchased it from. A lot of the lies on this car focused around the car being rebodied or the cowl coming from another car which is absolutely rediculous. I took pictures of the blue/white paint lines where the quarters meet the tail panel. Also stripped the top so the original stripes could be seen. If it was rebodied why would a person use a car with rusty quarters. I guess that's the genius of it right. I also took pictures of the cowl and you can clearly see the factory spot welds and the original caulk. I guess a person painted a 1969 Firebird like a TA,painted it black over the top then left it sit 20 years to fade. Then put a cowl from an original 69 TA on it. Absolutely rediculous. Lol!!! You can clearly see the cowl and VIN have never been messed with. I painted the cowl and upper dash that's it. The secret VIN numbers on top of the cowl and under the heater case are very clear. There are 2 circles around the VIN rivets and those are there because I put 2 vacuum plugs over them when I painted the top of the dash so it could be verified they were original. I have a clear Iowa title in my name and all registrations dating back to when I purchased it.This is a very very late production 1969 Trans Am and one of a hand full of them that has it's original window sticker. It is not a reproduction it is the original removed from window of this car. I think I have been as clear as I can on the subject of this cars originality. You can look at my feedbacks and see I am very customer oriented. I have been in business for 35 years as an AC Delco repair center right here in town. There is no hood, spoiler,RA or fender extractors. There is a set of reproduction fender extractors on the NOS GM PONTIAC Firebird front fenders. Unless you can do the work yourself you would be hard pressed to just get the work done on this car for my asking price. I have personally restored the entire drive train which is almost completely original with exception of the block and carburetor. The engine has been bored .030 with forged pistons, balanced, blueprinted etc, etc. Transmission has had every bearing, seal, gasket and bushing replaced. Rear end same thing. I think you get the idea. This is a body mans dream because all the mechanics and wiring has been redone. Almost everything that needed powdercoating has been done. This car needs the body work done and included are NOS ft fenders, rear quarters and tail panel. I have all new wiring harnesses except dash and intermediate body harness but those used harnesses are in great shape. All the brake and fuel lines have been replaced with stainless steel as well as the park brake cables. All the brakes have been restored as well. Springs, pads, shoes calipers, etc, etc. Doors are in great shape. Trunk lid was replaced with a very nice rust free one and the original can be included but is quite rusty. Front inner fenders are very nice rust free. You can see in the pictures the floors and trunk are very nice and solid. I still have all the original floor insulation which can be used again. All the glass is original except thewindshield. I have all the interior which is in really pretty good shape. I think most all of it can be reused except the carpet, headliner, dash pad and package tray. Radio is not cut out on the dash bezel. I have (4) 14x7 Rally II wheels already painted and an NOS service replacement space saver spare. This is a very solid car to finish. The only things it needs are rear quarters, outer rear wheelhousings, tail panel and inner tail panel. Most of which is included NOS. I also have nice parking lights and park light housings for the front valance. All of the stainless is included along with rocker and w/o moldings. The amount of parts included with this car NOS,very nice used and original is massive. If you have been looking for one of these you probably know how hard they are to find. Only 697 of them were ever made. How many are left 500 maybe. I would rather sell it to someone outright and really do not want trades but if you have a very low mile 80 Indy Pace car or a very low mile 79 Silver Anniversary 4spd we may be able to work out a partial trade towards my 1969 TA. Buyer to pay all shipping fees. A 1000.00 PayPal deposit will be required immediately after the auction. Full payment by cashiers check, wire transfer or cash in person within 7 days. This car goes nowhere till then. When payment clears I can store the car for up to 10 days. After that a 10.00 per day storage charge will be charged. Thanks.

I have had some questions about the block. It is not original. I purchased it about 10 years ago when I bought the car. I got it out of a machine shop who told me a guy dropped it off and never came back to get it. It is dated E289 with casting number 9790071. The code is WQ and has no VIN stamped. It is either a very good restamp or over the counter block. Either way it is NOT original. The heads are 48 castings and are both dated E289. The distributor is a 1111970 and dated 9E16. The carburetor is a NOS 7040268 but I do have a nice used SR 7029270 that I can swap if buyer wants that instead. The rear end casting number is 9799724 with a casting date of 211. Rear end is a N housing with ZH stamp and 231 stamped date. Transmission is the original with VIN stamped it it. Thanks.

Here are a few more bits of info on the car. Included in the auction is a LH NOS grille and the RH is good used. I have all the mini brackets and brackets for the front end and if you know these cars you know there are a few. I completely disassembled the original remote mirror sent it in to a nationally known company and had it rechromed. I put it all back together and it is in a box ready to install. All the original seat belts are here in good shape and in a box. Original console is there but top plate cut so will need repair. Cowl panel is there in great shape along with the washer nozzles. Secret VIN stamps are both there. The unique lower valance baffle plate is included but dented up so will need repair. The rear leaf springs are not the typical repo cheapos. These were specially made by Eaton spring from original specs. Some of the things I do not have are the windshield, sway bar, radiator and the hood scoop tunnels. Also the NOS LH rear quarter has some rust at the bottom behind the wheel from improper storage before I purchased it. Not terrible just wanted to mention it. I sent the shifter in to Hurst and had it completely rebuilt. I could go on but any question please email or you can call my shop during the week 712 546 7711. Thanks.
