1968 Pontiac Le Mans

Up for sale is a 1968 Pontiac Lemans, riginally a 350 car, ow has a rebuilt 455 out of a Trans Am with a Turbo 400 automatic transmission. Car is originally from Utah but now has North Dakota plates and registration. This Lemans is a reliable daily driver that you can get in and drive to anywhere around town with style and comfort. It has a very strong motor, nly thing keeping it back would be the carb and intake set up which I kept mostly stock due to it being a cruising car. Blue paint is flat in color and the black is a semi-gloss giving it a distinct muscle car look. No rust anywhere in or out of the car! It has been undercoated for even further protection. A lot of new parts have been added to make this Lemans a real daily driver. All new exhaust with Summit Racing headers, ” Summit Racing Header-Back dual exhaust with Flowmaster Super 44’s out back to give it a deep muscle car sound. Also all new KYB Gas-a-Just Shocks with BMR 1” Lowering Springs, nd Energy Suspension Hyperflex Bushing Kit installed on upper and lower control arms, ear coils, all joints, nd transmission as well. B&M ratchet shifter works great though I really haven’t used it to its full potential as I only drive the car as a cruiser. Brand new Taylor plug wires have been installed, delbrock electric choke carburetor has been tuned and timing done. Engine sounds very strong, tarts with just a bump of the key and idles great with no backfire, tumbling, esitation, r any other problem what so ever. Transmission shifts just fine for cruising, hough it comes with a new TransGo Performance Shift Kit which I didn’t get a chance to install. Also the seats have been upholstered with new quality vinyl.

This is a 47 year old vehicle and though it looks to have been very well taken care of, t hasn’t gone through a complete restoration so there are minor wear and tear items that will need to be addressed if buyer is expecting to enter this into a car show. The body has some imperfections here and there that aren’t really noticeable unless you get close and personal with the car. Paint job was done at home as the previous owner explained, hough it really doesn’t look all that bad. The front windshield has a crack running vertical on the driver’s side. There is a power steering leak at the lines, hough it doesn’t affect any driving capabilities and is a very minor leak. The transmission cooling lines are also leaking a little bit, ut again don’t affect the driving. It’s missing the front windshield top trim as well as the rear window trim. All windows roll up and down with ease except for the passenger rear quarter window, hich is missing a roller; it only costs a couple of dollars for a new one, ut I never got around to getting one as I just rolled it down and up by hand. Inside is fairly clean, ut the headliner was incorrectly installed by the previous owner, t doesn’t affect anything for me so I just left it as is. Black carpet is in good condition with normal wear and tear a driven car would have. No radio or speakers are installed in the Lemans, ut this is a muscle car and I much rather listen to the engine than anything else so I didn’t add any.I also never got around to buying new wheels and tires for it as it comes with stock 14” as well as another set of 14” Cragar’s in really great shape. I also never got around to changing the weather stripping as it has seen some better days, hough the Lemans is kept garaged and only driven in sunny weather. The exterior lights all work, ut for some reason the interior ones don’t; never got around to look into this because I never drive it at night, ut the gauges do work.

Over $2,500 invested just in new parts alone and it really won’t take much more to make this Lemans a real show stopper. These old muscle cars are getting harder to find in this kind of condition so don’t miss out on your chance to own one. Clean title in hand! Any other questions just ask. No reserve!!!
