Description:

1969 Pontiac Grand Prix Model J

Southern CaliforniaCar owned by Isobel K. Silden, entertainment journalist (found interviews she did with Leslie Ann Warren, Peter O'Toole) who passed early '90s. Car donated to Cars for Causes 2003, purchased by Memory Lane, Classic Car dismantlers. Bought complete by friend, title salvaged. I purchased 11/1/03 and restored. Currently with YOM black plates, not orig. to car, although it lived in Los Angeles area all its life. Driven daily in 2005-2007, garage kept after that.

Spent upwards of $50K over the yearson it, including engine overhaul, 2005 (bored .20 over) 100K miles ago, converted to adjustable rockers, like Chevy at that time, bolt-onEdelbrock quadrajet (when I could not find a decent body in any wrecking yard, rebuilt 2017), Pertronix electronic ignition. Timing chain & cover, water pump, belts and hoses, hi-torque starter, radiator (new from Summit Racing) in 2015, fuel pump 2014. New vacuum advance 2017.

TH400rebuild 2013, body work and paint, and vinyl top 2007 (usable as is, has developed very fixable rust issues around rear window), new interior (kit - front buckets, headliner; door panels dyed parchment, orig black, starting to show through), upgraded to Saf-T-Track (Posi) differential, 2016, Upper/lower ball joints, control arm bushings, lower control arm 2017, Quick Ratio steering gear box rebuilt 2014. 2 new brake cylinders, front discs with lots of life left in pads, same with rear shoes.

Needs: Gas tank has very slight leak, wheels and tires, AC compressor (converted to R-134...and that should make the AC functional I was told), cracked dash pad, reproduction armrest cover just cracked, front carpet, AM radio works but speaker is toast, dash heat/air ducts don't change (no defrost, floor, just blows out the front), rust repair, rear bumper rechrome, bodywork and paint to be awesome.

Road worthy!Car driven to Austin, TX four times, to Indianapolis Speedway once (Community Day 2014, watch it here, copy and paste the following link if you can't click direct: https://youtu.be/0IkUVEDr3sg ), San Jose, CA 3 or 4 times. Contact if you have questions.
