1968 Pontiac Firebird

1968 Pontiac 400 Firebird,
Dry Southern California Garage/Barnfind,
Here's a great project for you Pontiac guys. One owner car that has some neat factory parts on it.
It has the Long Branch Hi-Po exhaust manifolds and the Ram Air III heads as I am told per the original owner that I acquired the car from.
When I installed the fuel pump and looked in the motor as well as inside the valve covers it was obvious that this is a low mile motor and it runs really well. The car had a locked up front drum brake and was parked years ago.
The non power manual drum brakes have been remedied front, rear and gone through with new (drums) master cylinder, hardware parts and needed adjustments etc. Stops like new now.
Next was the fuel system, New from front to rear. New tank and sending unit, new fuel pump, and a complete rebuild on the carb. #'s on the carb came back as a 66 389 GTO spec carb.
The original color was yellow on black and was painted Pontiac green at some point.
Still has it's original jack assembly, brand new tires and 5 rally wheels.
Very nice dry solid body but it will need some attention on the pin holes in the trunk and abit of work on the roof skin.
Push the pedal to the floor once, turn the key and she fires right up!!I have driven it up and down the street and let it idle for several minutes to fully warm up and it does not overheat.
Has some pin holes in the exhaust and sounds okay but should be replaced at some point.
All the dash gauges work, interior lights, this is a solid project car and does need a full resto.
Just depends on what you are looking for. Clear title with no DMV fees due for you California buyers.
Please ask all questions, being sold as is.
Bid to win and good luck.
