Description:

1962 Pontiac Catalina Safari

I've enjoyed my short time with this car...however I had two opportunities come up this week to own bucket list vehicles so here we go!

-62 Pontiac Safari Catalina Wagon
-127k miles on original drive train
-389 w/slim jim tranny (invisible shift..it's weird but it does shift correctly:)
-Tires have lots of life left
-Recently went through the carb and this thing flys (as much as you can without leaving the ground, that is)
-Full tune up (plugs wires cap rotor points)
-Alternator
-Air filter
-Drum brakes adjusted
-Burns a little oil, leaks a little oil, but it's an original drive train 50 year old car

-White fur headliner and dash!
-Some of the best pinstriping I've seen
-Kustom grill (door knobs;)
-Everything works, heat, rear window, all that good stuff. Except the radio:(Gas gauge is a little tempermental but does work
-59 Impala steering wheel
-Shaved rear doors
-glass packs

-heat works great! Bought it on a snowy day and had to turn the heat off it worked so well.
-3rd rear facing seat is original upholstery
-Fairly rare roof rack and I have used it:)

-H

-A little rust in the frame just in front of the front doors...but nothing structural. Do not notice any flexing issues when parked on uneven surfaces or anything like that!
-The body has had some mediocre work done..someone attached quarters on the original ones but you wouldn't notice unless you look close. And cheap paint. Dings here and there...a little cracking in dog legs

I have:
OG grill, all flat pieces to lay the seats down, OG hub caps, some other odds and ends

Car is lowered via cut coils long before my ownership...it has coil springs on all 4 corners which makes this a perfect/easy candidate for air ride!

I'm a single dude...this wagon would be a great family cruiser, kid hauler, crafts machine, picnic table, camper, rocket ship

Folks have asked...so the two bucket list cars I'm looking at are projects. A 53 Ford Victoria and a Model A pickup
