80,000 + milesI will put everything I know about this car down so that there are no doubts what you are bidding on. You will not find another one like this ( In my opinion)
The gentleman I purchased this car off of bought this about 5 years ago for $11,500.00. Drove it 60 miles then let it sit outside. ( It even has a car cover that he didn't use!)
You will find this car just needs to painted and final details and any other things you want to do. IT IS SOLID
I am selling this car because I do not need it, would like to keep it but I do not need it.
The Goodies:Exterior: Unmolested.
* THE PAINT LOOKS GOOD IN PICTURES BUT THE DAMAGE IS DONE FROM SITTING OUT, IT NEEDS TO BE PAINTED. It has been buffed but that is the best it gets.

The car is solid. Original color and the left front quarter and left rear look as if they have been repainted but I can't tell you why. Does not look like any Bondo work has been done. just a few dings no dents on the whole car. It is very straight.
Bumpers- rear bumper will need to be replaced because it is dented ( See picture) Front is normal chrome wear but still shines very well. rest of the chrome may need a better polish but is in great shape. Left lower rocker chrome has peeled but is in great shape.
THe landau top will need to be replaced. I did not replace it so that you can see that it is not covering anything up. There are two pin holes of rust just below the passenger side landau trim. See picture. We have touched it up with paint but be aware they are there. My body guy feels the surface under the top will be just fine and need little work. The doors shut great, all the gaps are fine. There may be very small surface rust in spots but this car is rare that it is very solid.I will be glad to answer any questions
The trunk area is almost perfect with original jack and a spare rally rim and tire.
Engine - Trans - Drive train Etc.
4.9 lt 301 4bbl posi track. Not sure of the gears but I know it lays down 2 tire marks very nicely! Car runs fine. Could use an idle step up motor for the A/c when it is on. All fluids checked or changed.Yes, it has typical slight oil drips when parked for a while. Normally the bad design rear main rope seal and I just put cardboard under it. Drive it more and it seems to stop.
A/c has been converted and works fine.New clutch Pressure plate and bearing.
Brakes are complete all new on back and fronts are fine.
Exhaust- Brand new duals with low rumble turbo mufflers. Makes it a nice sleeper. Note ( It does have a clatter once in a while on the left side heat riser. I'm am not repairing that.
Floorboards - Absolutely great. Most G- Body cars are rotted away. See the pictures underneath and the ones when the carpet is out.Again this is what makes the car even better.
Tires are like new but are older. For long distance, I would be wary of them because of age only. Drives smooth. Factory rally wheels are great shape, lugs are a bit rusty in places. The rally wheels alone are worth $800 - $1000.00. ( Trust me I just bought them for my 1967 Pontiac)For the rest of the interior look at the pictures.
Interior. - Grade - B or B + at best.* GBODY cars where known for plastic panels getting brittle*A lot of interior parts are not available for this car so I did what I could do and it looks very nice. The plastic on 1978-79 was terrible and the parts that went bad I replaced or fixed the best I could. But you could still show it the way it is.
I had a heck of a time finding lower door panels and thanks to the good people at Gbody parts .com they found me a set. The ones they sent me where gray, great condition and they are sprayed with the best quality paint that Gbodyparts.com can find. The factory color is Carmine and the plastic parts are as close as anyone can come to the color. Looks good. *** If you scratch a door panel that has been painted it will have a gray mark so you will have to touch it up. I replaced what I could find on the broken and brittle parts but there are still small areas that show some slight wear.
Carpet is brand new.
Driver seat has a small rip in the left side and I have gorilla tape keeping it from spreading. Only rip in the seats that I could find.
The headliner has just been replaced.
Of course like any other car, there are details that can be done. This is not perfect but darn close. I have painted most of the panels and fixed a few bad spots( Like on the driver seat back) Not perfect but looks dang good,
Dashboard and upper door panel trim have been sprayed with a nickel satin paint. Not factory but looks awesome in my opinion. All gauges and lights work except the RPM Guage. My understanding is the gauge is fine just needs to pinpoint the problem. I replaced all the lights and sockets in the dash. Does not have tilt wheel and the steering wheel is in great shape. Dashboard luckily had a cover on it so it is not cracked. It is not perfect either but very presentable. Radio is aftermarket and buzzes a bit going down the road on lower volume.
Brand new Ohio legal tint on windows. Front windshield has a small wiper mark on it.
Interior pieces such as coat hooks, screws and stuff are original and have not been replaced so don't expect them to be new.
Not sure what else I can tell you. You can email me questions and I will be glad to tell you all I know but remember you are buying AS IS.
PHS research papers are included to verify the model. Shipping taxes etc are your responsibility. I reserve the right to end this auction if the reserve has not been met because I have it for sale locally.
Remember there are 232 ever made and this one is solid, that itself is rare. This car is factory except for the exhaust and the rest of the car is unmolested. What you see is what you are getting.
Please bid with the intention to buy fairly. $1000.00 down, cash preferred, no 3rd party checks from another country, no credit terms, etc. IF YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO BUY THIS PLEASE DO NOT BID.I am being as honest about this car as I can be and I expect the same. Happy bidding!
I will update anything I have done after this posting.
Remember - Ask questions and I will answer. Need some more Pictures let me know.
