1980 Indy pace car .has been in storage for since 2003. Paint still shines nice and has laser straight body It currently has a very rowdy small block Chevy engine 350 transmission with stall and all kinds of high-performance items disc posi. Full frame connectors. I had to purchase 3 Trans Am in order to get the 78 I wanted and why I'm selling off the others. There is a crack above the starter where the engine block meets the transmission bellhousing in the block and bellhousing. I fixed it temporarily just to hear it run and drive it, and its a sleeper to put it mildly. My starter "rig" was good for one start. in order to start it again you have to hold a jack under the starter. The floors and trunk are very nice,some rust starting on the passenger door lower rear quarters under the melted rubbe, two small spots next to the front of the T-tops and inner rockers, Also a hole patched in the front of the hood from where I believe some shrapnel shot out. Car is complete with the exception of the front grills and lower Center chin spoiler . Rest of the car speaks for itself. Tires look brand new. I would entertain selling this car as a roller without the engine and trans if someone wanted to put it back to stock. It is AC and cruise control delete which I'm not sure of the Rarity. I wrote car is complete with exception of front grills which were dry rotte, power antenna,and lower chin spoiler missing,interior is nice there are 2 rips in rear passenger side seat and carpets could use replacing.
