You are bidding on an original 1968 Pontiac GTO this is a real deal GTO with the infamous 242 vin # this car is in complete excellent condition. It runs and drives but it needs a radiator and headgasket. This GTO has the Hideaway Headlights and it is an A/C car. The A/C is not hooked up but the car is equipped. It has an automatic transmission. The engine is the original block so it is a matching numbers engine. The transmission had been changed it is not the original transmission. It starts right up but it does overheat. I was told by the previous owner that the radiator split and he didn't know it and drove the car and of course the head gasket blew. Not a very difficult fix, the top half of the engine needs to come apart and a new head gasket needs to be installed. We are not doing this work before selling the car because we figured the next owner may want to rebuild the car to its original condition. All the floor pans are in excellent condition and the trunk pan is good with one very small rust spot in the rear. Frame is Solid and exhaust looks new as does rear springs and shocks.
