Description:

1954 Pontiac Chieftain star chieftain

There are two Pontica wagons, 53' & 54'. The price for both (it's a package deal) is $5,000 totally firm so don't even suggest another offer. But there is a one time special before my wife get home from her trip. I have Thursday and Friday and would settle for $4,000 to have them gone right away if someone was able to pick them up that quick. Otherwise I will sit on them longer and hold out for the $5,000.
The 54' has been in my family and spent most of it's time in Arizona until the last 20 years. Not structural rust to worry about. My aunt that first owned it is now 92. The grey 54 looks bad but it was stripped before being put into storage and ruined by the storage people. The engine, transmission and breaks were rebuilt before I had to put it into storage. I have everything including head liner wires. The trim is a complete set for a Star Chieftain (yes there is variations, straight line all the way along the side), I have all the chrome, rear wheel cover, hub caps, window cranks, on and on, everything. Plus red vinyl reupholstered seats. All the parts for the 54 are in the rafters of my garage (photo unavailable). All windows are accounted for be a couples are cracked including the front window. It has a California title. Photos of the dissembly can be provided if desired and the Pontiac factory maintenance book and 54 Chiltons guide.
The 53 is as you see it. Hauled in from Montana. Without this car you can't build on the good 54 frame and suspension etc. The bolts that hold the hood on the 53 are loose so I can't open it alone to get a picture of the engine. It is 100% original in there. The hauler didn't know the air filler was full of oil and it dumped onto the car below. What a mess it was. The chrome on the 53 is also very nice so as the bodies are the same you could build either car and sell the others parts.
In the picture of the reupholstered seats the folding back rest and bench seat are sitting on the front seat bench with attached back rest. It is the foundation Jenga piece to the storage unit so I'm not going to pull it out until it is time to close the deal.
My plan was a body of transplant onto the 54 frame and use the best fenders and doors between the two to complete it.
Both cars must go.
