1969 GTO Supercharge 6.0 LSX Restomod / Pro-Touring Convertible

$59,900 OBO (St. Augustine, FL)

For sale is our beautiful Unique & Rare 1969 (Real) GTO A/C Convertible!!! It’s time to let one of my beauties move on or trade it possible. I’ve been playing with this one for a while now and she has been a blast literally.

The car has a very interesting history and has survived by being stored most of its life in a garage. The GTO started life as a Pontiac 400 CID with a 400 turbo automatic transmission car. Below is a lot more detail information on the overall condition of the car.

First and for most, there are over 200 pictures available at the link below, so please take a minute to look over all the pictures.

History:

I purchased the car a couple years ago out of Atlanta, GA from a friend. He owned the car since the early 90’s and knew the owner before him, so I knew about the history of the car before purchased it. The previous owner started the LS Pro Touring conversion on the car and completed about 85% of the conversion. Once I purchased the car I continued to add a few of my own touches and finish the car as you see it today. The overall primary goal for the car was to build a comfortable, drivable and reliable daily driver car that could be driven on family vacations, Car events, to work, or just a night out on the town. As you will read below from the list of upgrades and Mods you should get a feel that this is exactly what the car is meant for…

Drive Train:

The GTO is equipped with a Pro-Touring 6.0 LS Engine w/ Magnuson Supercharger (with after cooler) and a 4L60E Overdrive Transmission. It averages around 21 MPG on the Highway and around 18 MPG in town if you can keep from winding up the Supercharger. The Magnuson Supercharger produces about 6 PSI or pounds of boost and is a stock kit for a stock or slightly modified engine. Magnuson claims a 110 HP gain and 100 ft lbs of torque by just installing the Supercharger.

The brakes have been upgrade to 4 wheel disk brakes which is a Baer Track brake kit with QA1 coil-overs on all four corners of the car along with UMI (upper and lower) tubular control arms with roto-joints on the front and rear of the car… The ride quality of the car is outstanding and absolutely no issues with handling or steering given the suspension upgrades and also the Grand Cherokee steering box upgrade / mod

The car is also equipped with popular B-body gas tank mod. The gas tank is from a 1996 Impala SS and has a 24 gallon capacity which is fanatics for long trips. It can be driven over 400 miles before refueling if needed. It also has an Aeromotive Stealth Pump installed in the tank for a quite ride / operation. In addition, there is a custom trap-door in the trunk for easy removable or replacement of the pump if needed.

The car retains its factor 10 bolt rear with 3:55 gear which is just about perfect for both highway cruising and in or around town. The 17inch YearOne Rally II wheels give the car a great factory look and they still have about 70% tread life left on them. The custom Stainless Steel Magnaflow exhausts system sound incredible with the Doug’s Headers.

The car is an original factory A/C Convertible car which is another rare added bonus to this unique car. The A/C system works as it should and is a Hybrid factory / late model A/C system with an oversize condenser

Paint & Body:

The GTO was originally painted Mayfair Maize Yellow (paint code 40). The car was repaint back in the late 80’s using the original paint color so the car has never had a color change. The paint and body show very well with now major issues or problems. The car has had both rear quarters replaced at some point in time in its history and looks to have been done correctly. Please keep in mind that the car has been repaint for well over 26+ years so there are some signs of wear on the paint. This car has been (and still is) driven and used as a driver quality car and has never been intended for a show quality car. If you are looking for a perfect car then this might not be the car for you.

Interior:

The car was born with the Starlight Black Interior which is still retains today. The car does have the optional convertible power top and does still work great when a batter is installed.

The Starlight Black Interior is in absolutely amazing shape as well with no rips or tears in the seats. It’s never been smoked in and has no funny smells. The seats, carpet and door panels are in pristine condition...as they should be and look great. The driver’s seat is fitted with custom extension brackets to give the driver more leg room. The car does have the optional convertible power top and does still works great it just moves a little slow. I have also installed a 1968 GTO console with a factory His & Hers shifter.

The custom Red Speed Hunt Instrument Gauges look amazing and are all functional. The dash is mint condition with no cracked, tears, or warpage of any kind. The door panels are also in excellent condition. The windows and locks function as new as does the AC.

The original stereo system has been replaced with an Alpine Hidden audio system with Blue Tooth capabilities and a 700 watt Kicker amp. The car also has dual JL audio 10 inch subs, kicker mids speakers which sounds great and works perfectly.

This car is a true Pro Touring / Restomod car and is an absolute blast to drive. It’s been built in such a way that it requires very little maintenance and is user friendly. The car has over 7K miles on it since the conversion was done and we have driven the car on the last two Hot Rod Power Tour’s with no issues at all.

ASKING $59,900 OBO

The car is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
We are open to trades but BE REALISTIC....I could list things we are interested in but I don't know what you have. It has to be something as cool and nice as this car. I am not interested in boats, race cars, campers or motorcycles.
