1965 GTO, 389 V8 Engine, Original, Owner since 1967
1965 Pontiac GTO Chrome
My Grandmother purchased this 1965 GTO, 389 V8, in 1967 for my mother. I will be adding interior, exterior photos, as well as all of the parts that are not currently on the vehicle. In addition I will add all of the items that have been rebuilt or replaced. The Engine is original, accept the air filter, and possibly the carburetor. Both the transmission, and Engine have been completely rebuilt and have less than 500 miles on both. The interior has been mostly removed for restoration, but I have everything to restore it besides the carpet, which is easy to acquire, and rear seat springs which can be made or purchased. The GTO has all glass besides the rear window, and the front window has a crack. There is the normal nicks, scratches, etc on the paint. There is a crack in the paint by the rear drivers window which I will take a picture of tomorrow. I will do my best to answer all questions the best I can. I highly recommend the vehicle be inspected prior to bidding if possible, or ask for additional pictures. The original radio has been replaced with a 8 track player. I am not much of a car person, I appreciate them, but I have limited knowledge. I believe the rear spring needs to be replaced. This car was not cleaned, washed, or buffed, it was simply driven out of the garage and I took photos. Besides being driven once a week by me to maintain the vehicle, this car has been in a garage for 15 years as my mother no longer drives it. Vehicle has power steering. Wiring has not all been reattached as I anticipate some wiring will be replaced. With the interior put in, and a new paint job, the value of this vehicle will rise significantly. When the vehicle was last painted, it was taken down to the metal, so a new paint job should not be much of an issue. As, after the interior is repainted I would assume it will be repainted.This GTO is located in Santa Fe, NM. Inspections are encouraged deposits are non refundable and the car is sold as is. These reason I have a 100% positive feedback, is because I make every effort to answer questions honestly. I can only have 24 pictures, and didn't realie I couldn't delete ones from yesterday. I also have a local person that can repaint, and restore the interior if anyone is interested at a fair price. I have all of the chromes, mouldings, emblems, knobs, handles, mirrors, new sun visors, and old, sill plates new, seatbelts, break covers, new, to many to list. Picture coming tomorrow. Jute pad for the trunk new, trunk covers new. This was painted 17 years ago.
Repairs, and replacement items: Rod and repair radiator, r&r sway bar bushings, r & r upper and lower ball joints, shocks, and upper and lower control arm bushings, rubber mountings, seal, wheel bearing kits, bushings, shocks, control arm bushings, transmission mount, carburetor, fuel pump, water pump, fuel pump, oil seal, lower radiator hose, gasket, distributor cap, r & r fuel tank, fuel level sensor, rubber fuel hose, clean gas tank, rebuilt transmission, rebuilt engine, heliarc timing housing, new pipe, mufflers, hangers and chrome tips, heat hose, fittings, hydraulic lines, battery cables, coolant temperature sensor, fuel tank sending unit, battery tray, power steering pump, special bolts, New alternator mounting bracket and power steering pump mounting bracket, r&r power steering pump, new wheels, repair timing cover, carburetor, new air cleaner assembly, transmission cooler line, replace rooster comb, and the list goes on. But you get the point.

The above items I just mentioned all have less than 500 miles on them. Also, this car was first sold and manufactured in California.
On Jan-31-17 at 16:02:32 PST, seller added the following information:The last 4 photos added today show, rear view mirror, seat belts, arm rests, accessories, ashtrays, emblems, visor connections, this car includes new and used visors. Next photo shows chrome, mouldings, side mirror, and other items not currently on the car, including new pieces, and sill plates. 3rd new photo shows upholstery items, and last is front and rear seat covers. Orignal Parts Group has the back seat springs for $199 which is for top and bottom, and the carpet for $150.00. Everything else is there to put the interior back together. I may just install the interior and re-list the car.
