1974 Pontiac Grand Prix Model SJ with a 455 V8, automatic (TH400) transmission, 4 barrel, White exterior, interior consists of red dash, black/red console and red carpeting with white bucket and rear seats.
Options include: Power windows (work), Power door locks (work), Power driver's seat, Power Steering, Power front disc brakes, Air conditioning (no belt), Cruise control, Tilt wheel, Original AM/FM stereo, Factory Moonroof (non-operational-no motor), Air shocks, Rally gauges, 15" Rally II wheels, Dual sport mirrors w/Driver's remote, In-Dash clock, Dual exhaust, Power trunk release.
Interior needs to be completely redone, have new white PUI font vinyl deluxe/sport/custom seat upholstery along with new bucket seat padding cushions (with receipts).
Car comes with replacement pieces to convert from white/red to black interior including; replacement new black sun visors, black bucket seat back panels, black dash pad that includes A/C Dash Bezel (gauges-radio-hvac controls) with glove box and door, black upper front door panels, black and beige lower front door panels, black rear interior lower quarter panels, black opera window interior sail panels, black seat belt covers, black front kick panels and all black interior plastic (A-pillar, B-pillar, headliner, upper left and right door, upper and lower rear window) trim pieces as well as a black console. All existing interior wood grain trim panels are in surprisingly great condition. Anything else, like carpeting can be obtained from Ames Performance Engineering or Trim Parts.
The SJ spent many years in Nevada and northern California has surface rust, needs new paint, was a vinyl roof car, left rear quarter panel has some damage (due to a tire blow-out) below the body line, in process of obtaining replacement lower quarter panel section. Chrome trim and bumpers are in very good condition, just dirty. The SJ does run and drive, has a new battery.
Third and fourth pictures are just prior to being pulled out of a warehouse where is had been stored for five years, only required a new battery to start.
Not many SJs come up for sale, so this is an opportunity to obtain a very restorable and original 455 car. Moving on to other projects.
