This Trans Am showcases an extensive restoration completed in 2014. Much of work performed by done by Texas Trans Ams with verifying receipts. The 400 cubic inch engine was rebuilt (less than 400 miles) along with the transmission and rear end. We have receipts for the work performed. The engine features forged pistons and a performance cam along with custom headers & dual exhaust. The transmission was built with a stage 1 shift kit & the rear end was fitted with 3.55 gearing. The paint is quality base/clearcoat in the correct & one-year-only Martinique Blue with the hood decal, just as the car came. We also have the PHS documents confirming the original options. Fly High or Fly Low, many of our photos of this beautifully restored Trans Am were taken at the Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight Museum, located only minutes from our showroom. Be sure to visit the museum if you find yourself in Dallas, Texas. The exterior showcases a professional refinish of the correct Martinique Blue with blue graphics. The paint and body is in excellent condition. Texas Trans Ams is responsible for much of the work performed, including the rebuilt 400 cubic inch V8, transmission and rear end. We have thousands in receipts from this year. The drivetrain has less than 400 miles since gone through. We also have the PHS documents confirming all of the factory options on this Trans Am.
The wheels of choice are the factory 15x8 snowflakes, fitted with B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A raised white letter tires all around (255/60R15s)
The engine compartment is clean and detailed throughout. This powerplant was upgraded when rebuilt with forged pistons, an aftermarket cam and special header-exhaust. This car runs excellent. Further inspection of the engine compartment reveal original sheetmetal throughout the firewall, inner fenders and core support. The original trim identification plate is in place.
Open the doors to 1978. The interior has been fully restored to original. The light blue high back bucket seating is in excellent condition. The instruments are very crisp and detailed as is the machine-turned Trans Am specific bezel backing. The dash is clean and in very good condition as well. The rear seating area is clean and detailed. The door panels, carpeting, and seat belts are in great shape. This is a well cared for T/A and it shows.
The undercarriage is in exceptional condition throughout, displaying the original frame and flooring along with rebuilt suspension components.
The trunk is also clean and detailed, complete with a spare tire/wheel & jacking equipment. Enjoy our remaining photos and again feel free to contact Dave at 214-213-7072 or Maris at 214-616-2317 with any questions. PHOTO SLIDESHOW BELOW
