Description:

1968 Pontiac GTO

1968 PONTIAC GTO
This is a fully documented GTO from Pontiac Historical Society (PHS). The entire drive-train is all original matching numbers.
The motor and trans were removed and professionally rebuilt last winter. The matching numbers 400ci was rebuilt back to factory specs except a slightly larger cam was used (COMPCAMS XE262H)
and a Holley 750 replaced the Qjet. This motor with this cam combination sounds amazing and runs on premium pump gas. The motor hp is estimated around 375HP. 4 speed transmission was rebuilt back to spec and shifts tight and smooth. The entire suspension and steering was gone through. The car drives beautifully just like it came off the showroom floor. This past summer we drove 328 miles to car shows and out to dinner with my wife. The motor is very strong and looks and drives better than new. The car has absolutely no rust and the body is very straight. Every light, gauge and button works as it should.
The paint is approximately 10 years old. It has always been garage kept and looks beautiful. It does have a few flaws. Minor chips and scratches from driving. The endura bumper has some very small marks and cracks (they all do it unless just painted). Very small paint bubble on the corner of the hood and bottom of drivers door.
I have a huge folder full of receipts and paperwork for this car.
I also have a walk around video upon request.
