Description:

1972 Plymouth Duster

They are original only once. Fully documented 340 4-speed, Sure Grip Traction Lemon Twist survivor with only 48K original miles. History back to first owner. Multi-magazine feature car, Chrysler Nations special invite and Year One cover car. All original paint, interior and full matching numbers drive train with no rust ever. All factory delivered paperwork including window sticker, 2 1/2 build sheets, owner's manual, dealer invoice, warranty pamphlet, accessory catalog, and a dozen more documents that a buyer would receive when buying a new car. Even the brown plastic glove box bag that contained all of your paperwork as you drove off the dealer lot is included. When was the last time you saw one of those? When nearly new, the owner added a Sun tachometer and tube headers as we all did back in the day. The headers have since been removed and replaced with the original exhaust manifolds and period correct exhaust system with chrome tips. I left the 40 year old tachometer in place because it's so cool, AND STILL WORKS! Mechanically in excellent, well cared for condition with numbers Thermoquad carburetor. The body and paint are stunning, but the car does have some minor paint chips here and there and a couple of shallow door dings as one might expect from a car that is nearly 50 years old. Included with the purchase are most of the original soft, wearable parts like plug wires, hoses, belts, fuel pump, etc. This car was originally order with black steel wheels and dog dish caps which also come with the car. Repro car battery shown in picture has been replaced with correct fitting modern type battery. Survivor mopars like this one usually spend their time in museums or in high dollar collections and rarely come up for sale. Now is your chance to own a piece of automotive history.
Note that car is being sold in "as-is" condition. Inspections are welcome before the auction ends. A $2000 non-refundable deposit is required immediately after the auction has been completed, and the balance is due within 7 days. .
