Description:

1970 Plymouth Road Runner

One of 16 hardtops produced with 426 HEMI engine and automatic transmission. All the hidden body numbers match, original vin, original fender tag, original federal door sticker and two original build sheets. California car. The engine and transmission are not originally born to the car.
Body is almost ready for paint, needs final blocking and prep. Originally an under coated car, no rusted floors. The car did have a couple small holes around the rear window, and in the trunk floor. These areas have been welded with a spray galvanizing welder. Air grabber is complete with new hoses and sealing ring. The bumpers and additional chrome pieces that needed chrome have been rechromed. Grille is complete and in good shape.
The interior is all new, purchased from Legendary, the front bench and rear seats have been redone. Sale will include the remaining parts, head liner, package tray, front and rear panels, carpet, Simulated wood Steering wheel, complete dash and heater box assemblies. The original dash is crack free.
The 426 HEMI is a 1966 standard bore block, pretty sure it is from a 1968 HEMI car. All the work was done by Pettis Performance in Hesperia, Ca. (They sponsored my NHRA record holding Dodge C/SA Challenger for years) CP pistons, 4.250 Stroker kit, roller cam, lifters and rocker assembly. Heads have all Ferria SS valves, roller springs. 1970 carburetors, 1970 valve covers.
Original coded radiator has been recored with a 4 row core. Fan shroud, Transmission cooler, all new stainless steel hard lines, power steering pump with cooler, all pulleys included. 4, 15” HEMI wheels and rally wheels included. All the fasteners, decals, emblems, air breather, stainless trim and other parts I have sourced for this car are included in the sale.
Parts needed would be a new windshield, exhaust tubing, front end bushings, maybe some small odds and ends.
Clear California title in my name. This is an opportunity to own an original, desirable HEMI car. I would consider a swap for a car that does not need restoration, preferably a Survivor type, 4 speed car, however I would consider automatic transmission also, 1968 Z28, L78 car, A12 car, 409 car, up or down on value.
Inspection is welcome, and I can send additional pictures. I can be reached on my cell: 661..400..1212
