Description:

1970 Plymouth Barracuda

Only 994 miles since restored. The good news is this is not one of the 14 Hemi Cuda convertibles made, you save a few million dollars!
EXTERIOR: The body was restored over 10 years ago and it looks like it was done yesterday. To me it has proven itself. It looks like the quarter panels are original. Has shaker hood with pins. The body is absolutely laser straight. The panels fit nice and square. The red paint is polished like glass, really it's like a red mirror anywhere you look. The hockey stick stripe is painted gloss black and are smooth to the touch. The chrome is new including the bumpers, door handles and sport mirrors. The stainless around the windshield is polished, windshield is new. Has the correct antenna. The grill has been repainted, has a small crack. Has a great stance with staggered size chrome Coy's wheels, 18s in front, 20s in back. Also extra wide in back, performance tires all the way around. Black convertible top has the correct Mopar grain with a glass window. The weather strips are new. Rectangle exhaust tips exit through the valance.
INTERIOR: I love the fact the interior is the same red as the exterior. It's been completely reupholstered including the seats, dash pad, door panels and console. The carpet was replaced. It has a cushion grip steering wheel. The instrument panel is custom with Sport Comp gauges. Tachometer is mounted on the console.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Legendary 426 Hemi motor sits under the shaker hood scoop. Built by John Aruzza, it is producing 545 horsepower. Has new set of dual quad carbs and headers. It is a vintage 1968 motor, not a reproduction. The engine bay is spotless. The block has a clean coat of Hemi orange, valve covers have black crinkle finish, brackets and power steering pump is satin black. Pulleys are aluminum. All the components on the firewall look new. Radiator, shroud, fan look new. The engine bay is clean metal painted gloss red, has fender tag. Battery has Mopar topper. There is a transmission cooler with braided stainless hoses in front of the radiator.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Clean, painted red metal. Has a new mat, a jack & spare. The bottom of the trunk lid and jamb are painted slick. Has new weather strip.
UNDERSIDE: The entire front suspension, k member was out of the car- rebuilt and detailed. Has bigger swaybar. Bottom of the motor is spotless. Has flywheel cover, starter looks new. The 727 Torqueflite auto trans has finned aluminum pan. Replaced driveshaft connects to a 3.91 posi rear. In back it has new shocks. Upgraded brake system with disc brakes at all four wheels. E-brake system looks complete. New fuel system including tank, straps, lines etc. Has a great sounding fat exhaust system. Has crossover pipe, Flowmaster mufflers and correct rectangular tips through the valance.
The Hemi Cuda convertible is one of the very most expensive muscle cars in existence because they are desirable. This is a great tribute car, even more exciting then an original at a fraction of the price!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
