1970 Plymouth Barracuda

1970 Cuda convertible, 440 Six Pack, 4 speed transmission.

80 % of body panels were replaced. New bumpers, new door handles and locks, new side marker lamps. All new door and trunk seals. Beautiful high quality Lemon Twist Yellow paint job with black hockey stripes, painted trunk and underneath car. All trim is new with new badges. New Cuda gill rocker panel trim. The windshield and glass were replaced with new seals. The convertible frame was sandblasted and painted with epoxy paint, new convertible top, new boot.

The interior has original seat frames cleaned and painted with new seat covers by Sue, of Gas Monkey fame. Refurbished console with pistol grip shifter. Dash frame was stripped and painted, dash was vulcanized with original factory dies. New carpet with sound proofing. Heater box was taken apart and rebuilt. Gauge assembly was completely rebuilt and refreshed. Tach was converted for electronic ignition. Odometer was reset to zero. Clock is now a digital clock. Original AM radio was rebuilt and refreshed like new.

Suspension is all new and updated to heavy duty including leaf springs, front and rear sway bars, heavy duty torsion bars, new swing arm bushings and seals. New steering box, steering column assembly was disassembled and rebuilt with new bearings and turn signal assembly. Front end suspension has all new components.

All drive train components were rebuilt including transmission and rear end. Engine was rebuilt with high compression pistons and a high lift cam giving it a nice lope. Brand new high rise Edlebrock intake and 3 two barrel Holley carburetors. New fuel lines and gas tank. New shaker assembly. All engine components are new, starter, power steering pump, and alternator. Distributor updated to an electronic ignition. Engine block was painted with high temp epoxy paint. This engine is super tuned, runs and sounds great. Original exhaust system.

I retained the drum brakes to keep the car as original as possible, all new brake components and I added a new original power brake booster. All new brake lines and emergency brake cables.

All of the electrical harnesses are new.

This car looks and sounds great; it is a real head turner. This is a car collectors dream. It is a clone car; it started life with a 318 engine and automatic transmission. Numbers matching cars like this are worth high six figures..
