1969 Plymouth Road Runner

This is a 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner. The car has been restored with the exception of the body panels. As the car is shown as how I found it.The car received one repaint prior to 1988 and sat in Demming New Mexico till 2013 when I purchased. The goal of project was to keep the body and its patina while restoring the rest of the car making it fun and reliable to drive.

The cars interior, engine, transmission, and rear end were all restored/rebuilt. Remaining suspension, bushings, bearings, springs, gas tank, exhaust were all replaced. There were some sheetmetal patches installed in both lower rear quarters.Sand had built up over time and caused some holes to form.Doors, fenders, hood, and trunk were not touched.Trunk floor is also original untouched. There was some rust in the drivers side floor that was replaced with original sheetmetal from a donor car.Car received new disc brakes up front and new drums, shoes, and lines to the rear.Power brake unit was installed.Used 15x7 rims were sourced and restored back to the cars original color.Larger than stock F60-15s were installed.Great detail was taken to use original parts including fastners. The original vin tag on the dash was missing when I purchased and the one you see is a replacement tag.All original stamps on the core support and trunk gutter were found and verified to be untouched original.

Engine - Non numbers matching, but date correct 383 HP engine.Engine was bored 30 over. New 9.5:1 pistons, along with new valves, springs, and hardened valve seats.Crank was ground.Erson cam provides a mild lope at idle. Period correct edlebrock intake and brand new holley carb were used.TTI full length headers with coating on the inside and out.Exhaust is a X pipe design with turbo flow mufflers.

Transmission - An A833 was found from another 69 Roadrunner and torn down, cleaned and blasted.New blocking rings, and bearings.Utilizing an original hurst shifter mechanism with correct shift handle.

Interior - Dash was fully disassembled, gauges were refaced and calibrated. All soft touch vynil was redyed.Dash housing was blasted and painted.New headliner was installed.Interior was sound proofed.New carpet, seats were blasted and painted.Seats were reupholstered.Installed original seat medallions.Seat belts were restored and new webbing installed. The interior is concourse quality

Rear end - Car was an original 3.23 open, but a 3.23 sure grip was installed.

Stereo - Hidden Stereo was installed in the glove box. Remote IR system was installed so you can use the wireless remote with the glove box closed. Dual 3 in speakers in the center of the dash. 6x9s in the rear with separate amplifier hidden up under the deck.

Since being restored the car has had just under 4k miles put on the engine.Everything is nice and broken in.Car runs and drives very nice. Its one of the more enjoyable cars I have driven because with the body not being show perfect you don't worry about driving. If you have specific questions please ask.Cal eight, one, five, seven, six, one, seven, one, two, four and ask for Rick.
