Looking for a really cool Full Sized Muscle Car? Take a good look at what Plymouth did back in the summer of '69. The Sport Fury was a complete redesign that was a 'Bigger is Better' approach. It was longer, wider and had even had a higher belt-line. The result is what you see here. Cool, classic & unmistakably Mopar.

The body is in good overall condition with what appears to be a single repaint. This paint is old with plenty of checking and imperfections. The panels are amazingly rust free. I do not see any of the tell tale bubbles and the current repaint looks to be at least 25+ years old so any hidden low quality rust repairs should have shown themselves by now. The trunk pan still has its original trunk mat and the usual rust scale underneath. A good wire brushing and POR-15 treatment would save the pan from replacement as it is still very solid with only a few pinholes I could find. This one is a great candidate to appreciate this summer and strip her to bare metal when you are ready for a shiny new Fury.

The Sport Fury option bought you a cool set of bucket seats, floor shifter and a really cool console. The dash is adorned with enough factory rocker switches to fly an airplane. Power window, Air Conditioning, Power Top and a bunch of creature comforts were optioned in this car making it a fun & luxurious cruiser. The overall look is great in here but the upholstery is older and showing its age. It would benefit from a good scrubbing and some conditioner.

Under the hood the 383 is still fully dressed in her factory attire. Not really any obvious signs of modifications or high school shop projects. We did repaint the top end in the correct Chrysler blue after the pressure wash removed nearly all the factory paint from the valve covers. This one is complete right down to the 2 barrel carburetor and air cleaner. The air conditioning system is complete but will need to be serviced. The transmission works nicely.

The Power Convertible top works nicely. The upholstery is old, tired and cooked. It has tears and has shrunk about 2 sizes making it hard to latch when its less than hot outside.

The power windows are a nice option and they do work. They do work a bit slow so I am sure the regulators could really use some cleaning & lubrication.

We have driven this one around a bit and it performs well. It did sit for several years so a good inspection and servicing would be recommended before any major road trips.
