1971 Plymouth GTX 440 4-speed 4.10 Dana Curious Yellow....reserve lowered

Price: US $29,500.00 Item location: Bangor, Pennsylvania, United States
Description:

1971 Plymouth GTX

1971 GTX 440 with 4-speed and 4.10 Dana....curious yellow with black interior and 1/2 vinyl roof.
Fender tag and door decal as seen...no broadcast sheet was found.
Car has 15x7 rally wheels...new tires...PS, PB, AM radio in the dash.
The floor mounted radio in the photo is aftermarket..NOT a Chrysler part.
Seats are in nice shape...dashpad is cracked...door panels have small tears on the corner.
The car runs well, brakes, tranny, rearend, all function as should....no overheating.
The 440 is not the original...the pad is stamped F440...which I believe is a 1970.
However it is stamped HP, so apparently came from a musclecar.
The engine drips oil from the pan gasket...something the new owner should address.
The trans is stamped with the correct VIN...and the Dana looks original to me.
All the gages work, horn, wipers, turn signals, headlights work.
For some reason the parking lights do not turn on when the switch is pulled.
A previous owner installed headers (there is a minor leak at one of the flanges).
He also installed an electric fuel pump...the factory fuel pump is not connected.
I suspect the fuel pump pushrod wore flat...and it was easier (?) to install an electric pump.
The paint is what I consider "driver" quality, but I encourage bidders to inspect the car to form their own opinion.
Looks like the car had one re-paint. Some body work is evident in the lower quarter panels (see photos)
and left side quarter panel (seen photo). The undercarriage was factory undercoated and appears solid to me.
Factory 440, 4-speed, Dana cars are getting harder to find...and very pricey.
$ 1,000 non-refundable PayPal deposit is required within 48 hour as indicated.
The GTX is for sale locally, and I reserve the right to end the auction if sold.
Thank you.
