1967 Plymouth GTX Silver hat special

1967 Belvedere 11 Silver Hat Special
I have been told that in 1967 Chrysler produced a limited number of these silver hat specials. I would assume they all came with the charcoal silver interior and charcoal silver vinyl top. There is also a lot of stainless interior trim that I believe is part of this package. This one is very special in the fact that it is an all original survivor which includes drive train, paint and interior. The condition of this untouched car is absolutely stunning. The past owners ( which I don't know ) of this beautiful car took it upon themselves to keep this Belvedere preserved in the condition it is today. These survivors are hot in todays market and usually are not effected by the ups and downs of the economy making them wonderful investments.
The paint and body on this car is outstanding for a 51 year old car. While there are a few imperfections they are minor. The paint does have a few areas of touch up and there are some minor chips on front of hood. There may be a few minor dings but nothing even worth photographing. The panel fit and gaps are factory original and it shows. Everything is uniform as far as fitment and when you shut the hood, doors, and trunk there are no issues just as it left from the factory. All windows roll up and down nicely and even more important the fitment to front and rear windows is as it should be. And of course there is no rust. As you can see in pictures this Belvedere still has a beautiful shine. The exterior chrome and stainless are still very, very nice and they too still have a beautiful luster and shine. The glass is outstanding with little to no imperfections and all have Chrysler Penstar even the windshield.
The 383 four barrel fires right up every time and almost instantly is at a nice idle. It revs up as it should and is an all around good running car. There are no ticks or knocks and the engine runs very smoothly. The tranny is the 727 and it too is very smooth and working properly. Even the kick down linkage works as it should. I believe the 83/4 to be a 323 but I have never checked to be sure. There are no noises, clunks or howls. This is the kind of car that you can get in and go anytime and any place.
I believe the interior to be all original as well. The seats in their silver and charcoal compliment well with the red exterior and matching vinyl top. There is very little wear on the seats and the foam is still firm. There is one minor spot on passenger side of seat where about a two inch seam has been sewed. Didn't really show up in picture. The headliner is extremely nice and so is the gauges dash pad and all associated items. The door panels are crisp and clean and the carpet is so nice I have trouble believing it is original but was told it is. All gauges work as well as all interior functions. Even the 8 track player works.
When you see this Plymouth it is hard to believe it is 51 years old and could still be in this condition. This car is beautiful and solid and finding one preserved as this one is almost impossible. I have sold many cars on ebay and value my reputation. If you need more pictures please ask and I will get them. I have tried to describe this Belvedere as honestly as I can but there are always things that could be left out. I would hope that you would be able to view this car before auction ends or at the very least call me for an honest description. This Belvedere is being sold where is as is and no warranties have been written expressed or implied. Car should be picked up within 30 days of auction ending unless other arrangements have been made. Any questions or offers? 636 219 7298 Thanks Bill
