1966 Plymouth Valiant Convertible

1966 Plymouth Valiant Signet Convertible. Slant Six:

Car collector must reduce my inventory by three cars because of space problems and this great Valiant is one of them (keeping the '64 Dart instead). I used it as a daily driver in recent summers. Many 250 mile trips from NY to Mass. Drive anywhere day one...needs nothing.

Up for sale is a 90% restored great driving convertible in which everything works well from radio to engine/transmission. This car is equipped with the higher horsepower 225 slant six which runs very strong, and dashboard push button automatic transmission. Mileage and engine/tranny is believed to be original, but I cannot document that. I have owned this car for about three years and have fully sorted any issues. I believe the interior may be original...meaning door panels and seats because they are in great shape but with a used patina that is just right. Anything that was worn too much was recently replaced, like the carpeting for $1000, proper 14" tires for $750, inner and outer chrome door sills. Chrome is excellent and I replaced door handles, their gaskets, and drivers mirror. Check out the original hubcaps!

Blue convertible ELECTRIC top was in excellent condition when I bought it and still is. Top mechanism is functions perfectly. The car is always garaged and not out in the rain, and has not had a wet floor in my ownership. When carpets were redone, the floors all looked very good.

Engine and transmission function perfectly...drive anywhere right away. A full tuneup was done one year ago including distributor cap and rotor, pcv valve, air and gas filters, plugs, and a new set of wires. Suspension is very good, no sagging, bouncing, etc. Great driving car. All of mine are!

All lights in and out work...so does horn, heat and blower, radio, top, all crank windows, signal return and there are no cooling issues either. AND those under-dash vent boxes that are always rusted away on these, are in great shape...they are solid with doors and lock levers working well. Exhaust sounds stock...no leaks at manifold or anywhere else.

This car was repainted...a really nice job, prior to my ownership. Im pretty sure it was an engine out job...look at engine compartment paint in pics. Nice, right?

Door dent received this summer from a nice old lady in a bank parking lot...oh well.

This car is exactly as described above. Want to buy a car that needs nothing for a change? Here you go.

If I left something out, please ask. Thanks.
