Description:

1968 Plymouth Satellite

This is a very original and rust free 1968 Plymouth Satellite and is believed to have under 50,000 original miles. This car was from southeast Kansas and Arkansas from what I can tell. The car was order with several trim upgrade options, A/C and no radio.
Body:This is one of the most original, rust free cars you will find. As far as I can tell, there has been no major body work with the car. The quarter panels, doors, trunk lid, fenders, and hood all look to be original and rust free. The trunk pan is also rust free. Again, this is one of the most rust free B body car you will find. All body panels line up nicely with nice consistent panel gaps and the doors open and close very easily. The undercarriage of the car is absolutely rust free. I've looked it over and see no evidence of rust or rust repair. The original undercoating is present.
The paint is roughly 40% original with only the body sides being resprayed. The vinyl top is new, and the paint shines very nice. All the moldings are in place and in great shape. The only minor dings in the moldings are on the wheel lip trim. All the glass is in exceptional condition with no scratches or chips except for the front windshield.
Interior:The interior is in very good shape with no dash cracks, new seat covers, and is totally complete and, as far as I can tell, original except for the seat covers. The carpet and headliner show wear appropriate for the age of the vehicle, but are in very presentable shape. The car also features ice cold air conditioning for those hot summer days. Seriously, the air conditioning blows colder in this car than in my late model vehicles.
Drive train:The car runs and drives very well. Newer shocks, new front drums and new shoes. The brakes work very well with no shutters or pulling. This car has effortless power steering and has very little play in the steering wheel. I put over 500 miles on it this summer and had zero issues.
The engine is a 318 2 barrel with dual exhaust and factory chrome tips. The car has never got hot, and other than the gas gauge not being very accurate, there is nothing to stress about while driving it. This car is also well documented with an almost perfect Production Broadcast Sheet, an Owners Certicard the Operating Instructions manual, and the Customer Care Warranty. I am also including a 1968 Plymouth dealer brochure.
