Description:

1969 Plymouth Road Runner

1969 Plymouth Road Runner 383, 4 Speed, Coupe. Factory X9 Black exterior and X9 Black interior colors. Air grabber, 4 speed, max cooling, Hemi suspension, Power Disc. Brakes, Power Steering w/cooling Tube Fins, 3.91 sure grip car, with 3 Speaker Dash 8 track player, See fender tag. Originally a bench seat car. Correct bucket seat and rear seat have been added. Car has been sitting since 1987. Does not have the original motor, I have no idea what happened to the original motor, but date code correct 383 HP blocks are easy to find. Car has 1966' 383 runs and sounds very good just put a little gas down the carburetor and it starts right up, you will need to have the gas tank cleaned out, Clutch assembly needs to be replaced it slips badly and throw-out bearing makes noise, Brakes calipers need to be rebuilt, the breaks don’t work at all. Car will need to be towed to your location and will require a winch to get it on a trailer/transport. Car was repainted once in 1985. Still retains its hemi suspension, leaf springs, torsion bars, etc. Has air grabber air cleaner, ducting is not present. Original 4 piston front disc brake set up. Trunk floor, Floor pans, wheel houses, inner fenders, Frame rails, Firewall, and below the rear window are all solid, no replacement needed Surface rust only very solid body. Very small rust areas on Driver’s and Passenger door and quarter panel and passenger fender, only small patch panels needed. Vin Number, Fender Tag and body numbers all match and I have the build sheet. This is excellent restoration project - solid body very minimal metal work required. All four tires are brand new Mastercraft Avengers no miles on them, Front are 235/60/R15 Rear are 295/50/R15. Front rims are 15x7 Rear are 15x8.5. This car was my next project, but I do not believe I will get to it. I have other irons in the fire at this time, so I will let this one go. Car is registered and titled in my name.

Very few cars are as solid as this one. Sure, you can find one cheaper - but then spend $10,000-12,000 on sheet metal parts and labor not including paint. Go to AMD and add up what it costs to buy quarters and wheel houses, fenders, door shells, roof skins, inner and outer rockers, trunk pans, floor pans, frame rails, trunk lid and trunk gutters....and then factor in labor and time yours or the body shop.
