Description:

1968 Plymouth Road Runner

Up for auction is a 1968 Plymouth Road Runner Coupe, 383 four speed with 8.75” rear axle.

Structurally the car is in good shape in regards to the front and rear frame rail extensions, torsion bar cross member, and leaf spring attach points. In addition, the firewall, roof, rear package tray, doorjambs and inner rockers are solid. You can see in the pics that the inner fenders were cut behind the shock towers to allow for fender-well headers, a pair of good inner fenders will come with the car.

Most of the exterior sheet metal will need to be repaired or replaced. The hood and trunk lid are rusted out and need to be replaced. Floors and trunk area are in okay shape and could probably be repaired with partial panel replacement. Fortunately, AMD Metal makes virtually every body panel and part for these cars.

I do not have the engine for the car, however I do have a 4 speed with bell housing, and radiator that will go with it. The input shaft to the transmission looks like it was wrung off at some point. However, the good news is you can get everything new to rebuild these transmissions from Passon Performance or Brewers Performance.

Note the car does not have an interior and this is the way I got it.

Note the Plymouth division hubcaps do not come with the car.

Note there is no fender tag.
