1976 Plymouth Road Runner

Mopar Lovers, look at this find! First time ever offered for sale is a rare opportunity tobid on an ultra rare barn find. This1976 Plymouth Roadrunner sat in pole barn asleep for over 25 years.Fresh out of an estate of an elderly gentleman who, according to his widow, would buy cars, enjoy them for a short while and then put them away. This is one of those cars. Mileage of only 50xxx, believed accurate by families word and cars condition. VERY much an original unrestored example of a seldom seen Roadrunner with only minor exceptions. Front fenders were replaced under Chryslers 1978 fender recall and during that time fenders were painted and blended into front doors. We strongly feel that all other paint is original, still quite nice but definitely has a patina. Newer paint is shinier and thus these panels give off a paint shade difference. While tempted to respray/restripe the car, it is very nice to show off mostly original, damage, scrape and ding free original paint. There is NO rust on this car,in out or under, see pictures of floor pan during detailing. Original low compression 318 is long gone but in its place is a 9.2 compression 1969 engine out of a 69 cuda with only 40K. We pulled motor, resealed it, new water pump, fuel pump, filters, belts, hoses, tune up items, new electronic dist., 1972 factory cast iron 340 4-V intake was added as well as a new elect. choke edelbrock 650 cfm carb. and headers. Old school cherry bombs were next giving this on that "old school " rap, awesome !! Very desirable options per the double data tags incl. HD 727 trans., 8 3/4 sure grip posi., power steering and brakes, buckets, console, AM-FM radio and the big kahuna A66 Super Pak pkg. 100% original interior and I mean 100% !!! Unreal how nice it still is and shows almost zero wear and tear. Sheet metal is laser straight, trunk is awesome thru-out and has a new, never down RWL E-70-14 Goodyear Polyglas spare in concours condition as well as complete jack assy. Glass, trim, bumpers, grille etc. all in excellent to mint condition. Engine bay was detailed to the nines while motor was out and is 99% original just cleaned and buffed and polished,(note all orig. decals on radiator support etc).Brand new B.F.Goodrich T.A tires all around on originalfactory roadwheels. Broadcast car, manuals and misc. factory tags and production tid-bits incl. Starts on first bump of the key, accelerates smoothly and fairly quickly, stops perfectly and road mannerisms are outstanding, no squeaks, rattles, wind noise or creaks or groans, you will be as overly impressed as I am !!! Overall this is a rare opportunity to bid on what could possibly be the best survivor Volare Roadrunner left !! After row after row of the popular and plentiful B bodies at the car shows you will be the biggest attention grabber there with this one and at a fraction of the cost !! Opportunity knocking on this super rare and fast appreciating Mopa, will you answer ?? Reserve is quite fair, please don't ask what reserve is, just bid what your heart and your budget allow and wishing you all good luck !! Addtl. pics are avail., MAY be able to assist in arranging with low cost shipping if required. Please don't bid if you cant pay, ruins it for everybody !! Thanks for reading and Thank You Veterans !!
