We have here a rare find, nice solid Jensen Interceptor Convertible. This car had been sitting a few years, nd had only been driven about 1100 miles since 2002. Current mileage showing is 16,120. I bought this car through a dealer who claims to have known the lastseveral owners, aving bought and sold this car himself to them. He says the mileage is original, itle says mileage exempt due to the age.Only receipt I have found is an oil change from 2002.

I have just had my mother pass away and I am re-evaluating my priorities of sortsand my status with all of my cars. I just can't keep up with them all anyways and I need to clear some out. I intend to be listing more in the next few days, e'll see what goes, hat doesn't so easily. I will say I am finding that this is a lovely car indeed.

For my convenience here is the text as presented to me concerning this car (I think it well written):

"this is truly an excellent 16,000 mile, ery
original car. The bonnet has some bubbling at the edge of the raised area
in the center and some spots of cracking in the paint which I've tried to
show in the photos. The boot lid is discolored and has a lot of crazing in
the paint. The gas door has been repainted at some point and the color is
way off. The woodwork is very nice except below the radio where it is
cracking and bubbling at the bottom, ust above the console. The leather,
carpets, oor panels, ashboard and top are all really nice. There are some
chips in the paint and some imperfections in the chrome, ut overall all of
that, xcept where noted, is quite good. The glass is all in excellent
condition, he windscreen has amazingly few flaws or wiper marks--indicative
of the 16,000 miles which this car has covered.
The car has been sitting for a long time so the gas should be
changed. The car starts very well and idles very smoothly, ut the engine
stumbles upon acceleration as if the gas is bad. The car cruises smoothly
and very well, he brakes pull straight and work well, he transmission
shifts beautifully and the car feels very tight--again indicative of its
mileage."

I will add that his description covers the basics quite accurately.

BODY- very solid, o signs of collision or rust repair. There are a few small bubbles on the bottom of the passenger door, nd a spot near the rear passenger lower fender lip. But really, specially considering how bad every other Interceptor I've ever seen was, his car is surprisinglyvery solid. Underneath is solid as well, eavy undercoat in places, ut looking around it is obviously not a rusted car. I hope the pictures show this.

It has had repaints in places, t I suspect, ifferent times. As noted in the previous seller's comments, he hood has a couple of places where the paint is sort of blistering (too thick?)along the line where the hood and louvers meet. Also a spot near the front driver corner where the paint is lifting. At some time the driver door was opened just barely too far and there is a spot in the fender (pretty minor). The trunk lid and some of the surrounding top of fender areas are heavily checked and flushed. If I keep the car I intend to repaint that area and blend it into the fender crease. I can live with the hood. Maybe try to touch up the small ding from the door opening and other assorted chips here and there.

Even with these flaws the car still presents itself quite nicely, driver quality" as many say.

Most of the trim is very good, ee photos. Front bumper has had a bit of a whack on the passenger side but the plating is still decent. Rear bumper is better but shows a few dings as well. Grill and side vents are intact and show some age but are nice, ouldn't be too hard to refinish if wanted.

Top is in great shape. I don't know it's age but it feels good as well (not brittle or dried out). Headliner is nice too, little dirt showing, ut it is not torn up. Electric toppump works though I have not fully lowered the top, have not acquainted myself with the intricacies of doing so, need to read the manual to be sure. It does move up and down. Rear window is clear.

INTERIOR-Still gorgeous. These cars have got to have one of the most nicely appointed interiors ever.Front seats have beenreupholstered in proper leather(and I have the original pads that affix to the back of them!), aybe the carpetsare newer(they are nice!), ut otherwise it looks to be all original (including the 8 track tape player). The leather smells fantastic. Wood is very good except as previously noted the veneer is lifting on the bottom on the center dash. The finish (lacquer?)has a crack or two, ost prominently on the glove box door. Various itemsshow someage, ut overall a lovely interior. See photos.

All gauges seem to function. All lights work, urn signals don't always blink, etting better with use. Fan blows.Driver window works, assenger window motor is running but window does not move, eeds gear replaced (or so K&D Enterprises diagnosed and said was typical) so I have acquired a replacement, ut not yet installed.

DRIVETRAIN- I drained the gas tank, lushed the line, nd put in fresh gas with "Sea Foam" added. I changed the oil and filter. Put in fresh plugs. The carburetor looks clean as a pin internally. The car was running and driving when I got it but not super well (old gas, ld plugs). Anyways it fired right up and ran well! It drives well. Very solid feeling, o squeaks or rattles. The front suspension bushings look to have been replaced, s well as other items, o not a "loose goose" or boat at all.Car handles very nicely. The 440 sounds good. It does not overheat, adiator fans come on when necessary, xhaust looks newer but being stainless (I think) it's hard to tell. Gotta a nice rumble to it. Tires look great, don't know the age. Steering feels nice and straight .It appears the power steering rackwas leaking beforebut not at the present. Oh yea, he passenger valve cover was leaking profusely, ence the source of most of the oil on the undercarriage. I snugged up the bolts (they were loose) and the leak seems to have quit. Surprisingly the air conditioning may be working. The compressor will turn on but it's been so cold it's hard to tell if it was truly cooling. I don't know if these cars have a low pressure cutout switch or not so I did not run it at length.I've driven the car about 50 miles and it is a nice experience. I did not try thrashing it but the tranny does kickdown. The brakes work well, top straight and true.

OTHER- Glass is all good. The windshield and quarter window rubber is still soft and pliable. The side glass outer lower (scrapers as I call them) rubber is hard as a rock and busted up. I got replacements the same time I got the window gear, ut not yet installed. There is a good boot for the top. As noted I also have the original cushions for the back side of the headrests, hey attach with Velcro like material. The original tire inflator is in the trunk, 've never seen anything like it before. Spare is underneath.Probably a million other details but that's it for now. Feel free to call me or email me.

OH YEA- All 5 original alloy rims are in good useable shape but need refinished. All 4 center caps are present but only three were mounted in the photos. The driver seat pivot cover is laying on the center console in the photos, ow remounted onto the seat.

I always encourage a personal inspection if at all possible. This is a great car that is a little rough in some details, diamond in the not so rough I would say. They didn't make many of these!
