A different type of British Sports Car seldom seen in the U.S.

A Body-off restoration was halted some years ago and the car is mostly disassembled. Major components appear to be mostly complete. One rocker cover is missing. The headlight assemblies and the grilles are not among the boxes of parts. The steering wheel went missing when it was transported.

The chassis was cleaned and painted black. We don’t know what, f any, ork was done on the chassis components. The car does roll, hen there is air in the tires. The body has been sprayed in what looks like a zinc-chromate primer and it looks like it had been totally stripped prior to that. There is evidence of repair work at the bottom of the quarters right behind the doors. There is no visible rust on the body or chassis. It looks like this was a reasonably good car before it was taken apart.

Engine is apart, n boxes. Transmission is in the car. Radiator is in the car.

Top bows appear to be complete; fabric is trash.

The seat is sitting in the car and looks to be usable with some clean-up. Interior trim pieces look like some may be usable.

All the electrical equipment is out of the shell including the wiring harness. The original harness is in one of the boxes.

There are a number of boxes filled with parts but we have not gone through them closely.

This is a major project that could be very rewarding for the right enthusiastic individual.

According to the North American Jowett Register this car was first sold (new) in Germany. While the date of importation into the U.S. is not known it was in New York in 1969 and then to Michigan about 1990. It is believed that the restoration was begun in Michigan as there is a photo of the car in 1990 in its original state, n red, hown on the Jowett Register site. The present owner bought it about 10 years ago and has not done anything with it since.

The owner is a friend, or whom we are listing the car. We have taken the recent photos, t two different storage locations, nd tried to be as accurate as possible with the description. We will do our best to answer any questions you may have; please remember it is not our car and we have not done any of the work on it. It is not running and is a restoration project.
