1957 Other Makes 1957 Ford Famous Historic Custom

This famous historic 1957Ford Custom purchased by John North brand new in 1957 and it was immediately sent to a top end customizing shop.

This car is not only intrinsically a great car because of it being born with an E-Code engine (two four barrels), manual transmissionmounted on the floor, but is also almost completely original as it was done in1957/1958. The paint (7 coats) and the gold leaf scalloping are 95% original as done in 1957. The white tuck and roll interior is completely original as done in 1957.

This car is nosed, decked, raked, dummy spotlights, Lakers, wonderful sounding glasspacks and drives fantastically. Doesn't overheat, one of the finest customs of the late 1950’s period. Check the photos and you will see a picture of John North and his family andmaybe 25-35 trophies that hereceived in the first few years that he showed it.

The car is show is so famous, that a car show in Massachusetts in 2017 paid special tribute to the car and even used this 1957FordJohn North custom car as their logo for t-shirts and other publicity. In otherwords, the car was not only famous in its day but is still famous.

In closing if you are a car collector that loves custom cars or have a large collection and would like to have a famous custom car to add to the mix of your collection, you would be hard pressed to find any custom car more famous than this one and certainly chances are never in the original condition that this car is in.It should be mentioned that this is one fantastic driving car…a true pleasure to drive.The mufflers sound great and it cruises along on the highway at 75 mph with ease.
