Description:
This historic Beardmore was manufactured for use as a London Taxi in the 1950s. It features right hand drive and an open luggage compartment on the left side. This is a proper car, very clean with an updated motor. The previous owner had put in a strong Chevy v8 and 3 speed automatic transmission. The front brakes are disc brakes, most likely from mid 80's big Chevy, like impala. The pads, calipers, and hoses were replaced in 2012. The rear brakes are older. There are some other after market parts such as the gas cap and the steering wheel. There are a lot of wonderful details about this car. On the outside it is laced with chrome, with raised swooping fenders and an open luggage compartment. The For Hire meter works and rotates, the Taxi sign lights up on top. The odometer indicates approximately 3400 miles. I do not know when or if it was ever reset. The leather is in excellent condition with no rips or tears. There is no rust on the car. This is not a perfect car, so it does come with paint chips and blemishes with a car of this patina. Also the car squeak sometimes when you turn the steering wheel, this might be due to a failing steering pump.
This car is registered and licensed in California. This is a really fun car to drive, it has folding rear seats for at least 4 passengers in the back, great for shuttling clients or friends around town. We use it mainly for wedding and corporate events in the San Francisco bay area, it's a blast to drive, and gets thumbs up everywhere we go. Not to mention a fantastic conversation piece.

Why We Are Selling:
We are an event production company. We had purchased this vehicle from a film studio a little over 2 years ago. Our reason for the purchase was to use this car for wedding and corporate events. So now it is time for us to move on and pass this on to the next owner. This would make a great addition to a collector, or use as a rental vehicle for special occasions.
