1962 Corvette Clean West Coast Project

This Complete1962 Corvette (originally Fawn Beige) has been with the same owner since 1974. He drove and enjoyed the car until 2007 when he began the restoration. Like many, Life got in the way and he was unable to finish it so now it's time for the car to be offered to a new owner. Being a West Coast car the frame is immaculate. The body has been stripped to bare glass, primed and has had a few repairs as you can see in the pictures. The only major repair I've found that should be fixed properly was a poorly sectioned right front fender panel which was done to the car before he purchased it in 74. All the rest of the panels and bonding strips are in place and appear to be original. The body's in very good condition for it's age but is by no means ready for paint. Believed to be 62,000 miles and originally a 340HP car, the Engine now is a 1966 350HP 327 along with a matching to the engine Muncie 4spd that were also in the car when he purchased it. The car has been kept in a heated garage since his ownership. Most recently the fuel tank and carburetor were cleaned, oil was changed, radiator, brakes, wheel cylinders and master cylinder gone through, new wiring harness installed and the car runs and drives quite well, gets some funny looks going down the road! Obviously I don't recommend driving down the highway without a windshield, brake lights and so on. The car was not ordered with a soft top but the hardtop is complete and in nice condition. When the car was disassembled everything was bagged and tagged and 95% of everything is present and accounted for. All the chrome trim, bumpers and stainless are in very nice condition, not show quality but still very nice. All the guages function properly, the carpet, underlayment and door panels are replacements and the rest of the interior is in decent condition as well. The side glass and trim are also in very good condition as well as the windshield. All this being said, it really wouldn't take much to finish it as nice driver or being as clean as it is would be a great blank canvas for anyone's taste. If it doesn't sell, I'm seriously thinking of finishing it for myself!
