1961 Other Makes Ice cream truck

1961 Boyertown ice cream truck, that was built by the Boyertown truck company, in Boyertown, PA. It was Virginia beaches ice cream truck from the 60's through the 90's. I showed it as a ratrod for a few years, after I got it open 2010. It NEEDED rebuilt, honestly it was probably unsafe to drive around so much..lol. So I bought a 1989 Chevy 3/4 ton van, with 70,000 miles, it got about 18 MPG, and was in GREAT shape. We cut the van clean apart, the front clip, pedals, rear end, gas tank, steering column, 350TBI/4 speed auto (it runs, drives, starts, and stops like a dream), driveshaft, etc. was used. I did this so anything that "could ever need replaced" would be easy/cheap to do so. The frame (from van front clip back) is 4x4 steel, all custom made. It has a custom 4link rear suspension, full front and rear digital air ride, it has two Viair compressors, and two 5 gallon air tanks. The frame and suspension are both painted black. The body, from the front sliding doors back, is all custom made. The roof, sliding doors, and front sheet metal is factory, with a custom made sun visor, that matches the custom made bumpers. The front end features a 1951 Ford grill, custom widened and V'ed a little to fit/ flow with the body better. The rear door is now a custom made one piece side swinging door, it also has an awesome custom made rear bumper, it runs 1990 Caddi taillights. The interior is 3.5" tongue and groove pine. It needs Windows, dash, paint, custom wheels and just buttoned up! It's a one of a kind vehicle!
