All new 2009 Impala SS NASCAR tribute. New York titled, 1,500 street miles. All steel body, electronic doors-exhaust-air ride, GM zz383ci, Tremec 5 spd. Ford nine inch rear diff. locker. Over 100k in new parts and materials alone invested. Over 2000 man hours to build not including research and development. We own 2 Super Street Series stock cars at this time and have decided one is enough. This is custom car not a 1980 its build date and titled year is 2009, its the only way to get it listed here with a state certifiedvin.This Super Street Series hand built 2009 Impala SS NASCAR tribute was built to perform along with creature comforts. Built all new (not an old race car) by Jeffery’s Custom Conversions a 35 year old custom builder from upstate NY. Fully street legal with all NY state requirements, titled with vin# NY70642 with only 1,500 miles and some track testing. The new Chassis #3 is re-engineered for the street @ 110 inch wheel baseCup NASCAR tube construction. The body is hand built steel using the hood, deck lid and roof from a NASCAR certified manufacture. All weighing in at a low-low 3,150 lbs!
Featuring remote controlled doors, seating for 4 with all 4 point race harnesses, Vintage Air AC-heat and defrost, Haywire, parking brake, billet sun visors, over head aluminum console for the Kenwood stereo and accessories control, wiper and 12v power outlet. Under the hood power supplied by a all new GM zz383ci, 460 hp aluminum head V8, BeCool radiator-fan-condensor, Ram clutch and a Tremec 5spd trans, Ford reinforced nine inch with a Detroit locker 31 spline full floater axle, The NASCAR suspension partially nickle plated with Ride Techs full air ride system with remote, electronic boom tube exhaust can be toggled mild to wild, oem headlamps, signals, tail lights and side markers all SAE certified. Custom door side windows store in the custom trunk rack, windshield and rear glass are factory oem. A new Optima battery, aluminum holder, race fuel cell, stainless air tank and pump located under the pinned steel deck lid. The rear spoiler is NASCAR certified with adjustable angle braces. The competition Wilwood brakes feature 4 piston calipers with bias adjusting capabilities. DOT tires are custom Good Year Eagle lettered to replicate the slicks.
This full custom hot rod drives and rides remarkably well. Its home is at the local cars and coffee's to the local road course track. It was leased to Optima Batteries when new for a 1 year country wide tour ending at SEMA in 2009 as a feature car. Since, the car was re-badged to the current #5 Mark Martin CarQuest tribute and used by our local company to promote our CarQuest parts relationship.
