1967 Other Makes Sunbeam Alpine Series V

1967 Sunbeam Alpine Series VYou are bidding on a very presentable running driving example of an older restoration Sunbeam Alpine. This car is a pleasure to drive. Whether you are out for a Sunday afternoon drive in the country a day at the beach or just want to drive something that grabs attention this is the perfect car for good times in the sun. We have enjoyed our regular outings to local car shows and club meets in this car and it is a local celebrity receiving compliments everywhere we go. The height of the windshield and position of the seats offers a surprising amount of room which makes the Alpine a car of choice for taller drivers in the market for a British sports car. This would also be a great car for anyone planning to build a Tiger clone someone wanting an Alpine to restore or someone wanting to do a V6 engine swap This Alpine has a new interior recently-replaced convertible soft top and four new tires on the ground. There is also a new mounted spare tire in the trunk. the original Rootes Group 1725 cc inline four cylinder engine with factory-correct twin Stromberg carburetors the VIN on the block and body do indeed match. There is a weld on the block from a successful repair of an external crack by a previous owner which has caused me no issues over the time I have driven the car. Currently the oil in the car is due for a change with no evidence of coolant clouding or separation. The carburetors have been recently rebuilt and calibrated and the ignition wires have been recently replaced. Many of these Alpines were either delivered without a hard top or have long since lost their removable hard tops. As a result aftermarket fiberglass tops often accompany these cars but this Alpine includes the original metal removable hardtop. Although it is quite valuable it is my desire to make sure that this original top remains with this car. Also included is a tonneau top which is in good condition. The paint job on this car is about ten years old and there are areas of rust beneath the paint behind the wheel wells and under the car in the usual places commonly found in Alpines. Evidence of older treated rust is also found on the trunk lid frame. All of the gauges in the dash work except the speedometer/odometer and a reference is provided with the sale for a company which can refurbish this gauge to like-new condition. The exact mileage of this vehicle is unknown. The turn signal works fine but the turn signal lever will need to be replaced. Also included with the Alpine are stacks of records and receipts current catalogs and older club brochures/mailers.You will also receive a box of valuable spare parts including extra gauges carburetor parts interior chrome trim parts and the original engine hand crank. A mounted pair of snow Tires/wheels can also be provided for free with the purchase if the buyer requests.Included with purchase:Original steel removable hard topBox of paperwork and receiptsBox of extra parts and trim piecesService manualsCatalogsTexas title in handTake advantage of this opportunity to own a rare piece of automotive history which is sure to increase in value over time.Terms of Sale:A $500 deposit is due at the close of the auction and the balance of the money is to be sent within 10 days of close of auction via certified funds preferably cashier's check or hand-delivered cash.
