1963 Other Makes 4/4 Roadster. RHD. Restored. Excellent! VIDEO.

1963 Morgan 4/4 Roadster Listed on behalf of Monte Shelton Motors. This classic Morgan lived the first half of its life in England where it was enjoyed by the first owner for twenty years. In the 1980's, with approximately 70,000 miles it received a full frame-off restoration including fabrication of new wood, paint, top and interior. It was a painstaking restoration with no nut or bolt left untouched, as verified by the extensive file of receipts that accompany the car. The odometer was reset to 0 at the time of restoration. In the 1990's this Morgan made its way to California where it lived in the San Francisco area. It saw limited use, accumulating only 7,000 miles until being sold in 2007 to a collector in the Pacific Northwest. He enjoyed showing and driving the car and it received several awards over the years. He added about 18,000 miles to the odometer before having the original English Ford Kent 1600 cc 4 cylinder engine rebuilt by racing specialist Jay Ivey. Less than 1,000 miles have been driven since the rebuild and the car is now being made available. While a seasoned restoration, this car presents wonderfully today. It just had a full wet sanding and polish of the paint which glows beautifully. The upholstery was also just replaced on the seats and appears like new. The chrome and trim are excellent. Please see photos. Car comes with a zippered toneau for driving and storage, as well as a canvas top and correct side curtains with sliding windows. Newer radial tires. Mechanically, this Morgan is excellent, as would be expected with the recent engine rebuild. The English Ford Kent engine develops plenty of power and is a real pleasure to drive. (Having driven other Morgans, I frankly prefer this engine over the Triumph-powered models.) The 4-speed manual gearbox shifts crisply. Brakes stop the car smooth and straight. Steering is tight and responsive. Holds the road at all speeds. It is truly a pleasure to drive. Please see video of car running and driving. If you are wanting a great-looking Morgan that is set-up for enjoyable touring and is ready to go anywhere, this is the one. A realistic reserve has been placed on this car in keeping with its quality. Please bid accordingly. WE WILL HAPPILY SELL TO BIDDERS, WORLDWIDE. Thanks for looking and GOOD LUCK!
