This maintains its original CIBA 44ci engine with correct casting marks and numbers. Manual transmission. It has the original delivery certificate with signatures, wner's manual and O.K. delivery inspection tag. It also has the original deluxe cloth interior and an optional heater. All the original gauges are in working condition. It's had one recent custom repaint and brand-new tires. This is a great example of a very clean survivor. TheCrosleywas an Automobilemanufactured by the Crosley Corporationand later by Crosley Motors Incorporated in the United Statesintermittently from 1939 to 1952.
With 24,871 cars sold, rosley's best year was 1948. Sales began to slip in 1949, nd adding the Crosley Hotshot and a combination farm tractor-Jeep-like vehicle called the Farm-O-Road in 1950, ould not stop the decline. In 1952, nly 1522 Crosley vehicles were sold. Production ceased after the July 3rd shift that year, nd the plant was sold to the General Tire Company. A plan to sell the Crosley auto concern to Nash failed to materialize, hen Nash merged with Hudson. Crosley's have a following around the world and parts can still be found on specialty sites.
