With a 455/340hp engine, this rare car is one of only 1,304 442 convertibles built in 1971. Only 183 had 4-speed Muncie transmission and even fewer with air conditioning. The unique 44 is disclosed in the VIN, proof positive of its authenticity. The letter "M" is also notable as it represents the Lansing, MI plant where the car was assembled and the only plant to build 442s also indicated on the Trim Tag.
