This 1968 Oldsmobile Cutlass Convertible is a very nicely done, older restoration and is a local show winner and in exceptional driver quality condition. All of the gauges work as they should, including the clock and original radio. The car has been in a Managed Care Classic Car Storage facility in Netcong, NJ for the past 30 months, where it can be seen. It was properly stored with Sta-Bil, desiccant, double covered, trickle charger and tire cradles. The car received new brake pads all around less than 100 miles ago. New BF GOODRICH RADIAL T/A's, with a September 2016 build date, were installed on brand new and freshly painted, correct Rallye wheels, in the fall of 2017. It was given an EVANS Waterless Coolant Conversion in late 2017 along with an oil and filter change to Amsoil Synthetic Z-Rod oil (Designed for Dry-Starts by use of Zinc coating the cylinder walls). An alignment was done in Spring 2018.

It is showing 147774 miles and is accurate. It is a very well documented fifth owner car, all of whom have taken exceptional care of the car.

The car underwent an extensive restoration over a period of years while it was enjoyed by its fourth owner. The work done includes, but not limited to, Repaint in original color (2000), New white convertible top (1998), the interior is original except for the carpets and trunk mats that were replaced in 1998. The fully operating radio was transistorized in 1994. All of the chrome was re-plated in 2000.

The 350CI, 250 HP V8 was overhauled completely in 2004 at 138,471 miles. The intake manifold was replaced with an aluminum intake and a new four barrel carburetor and snorkel air-filter. The original intake, carb and air-filter are with the car as are the original wheels and older tires. The Super Turbo 300 transmission was overhauled in 1999 and operates as new.

The air-conditioning was converted to R-134 in May of 2001 and blows cool, but not ice cold. A re-charge could be performed. The stock radiator was re-cored in July 1995 and a coolant recovery system was added in 2004. In 2008 the single exhaust system was swapped with a Pypes Performance 2.5" X-Pipe dual exhaust and mufflers.

The car also has a correct, exceptional condition, parade boot cover.

There is evidence of some light bubbling in the paint at the lower front driver's door and, less extensive on the rear lower left side quarter panel. And there is some on the windshield cap between the two "A" pillars. (See pics). There are several hundred pictures of the car available upon request.

Overall the car makes an impressive entrance to any event, parade or gathering. A very nice drivable classic convertible that you can safely and confidently drive any long distance in comfort.
