[isdntekvideo]Here is a chance to own a true piece of Oldsmobile history.A rare and numbers matching 1965 Oldsmobile Starfire Convertible!!This is one of approximately 2,200 built in 1965.
Owner purchased the car in 1984 and used it for cruising and attending area car shows.About 3 years ago, the 425 c.i. Oldsmobile Rocket 88 engine was totally rebuilt to stock specs with a newly rebuilt Rochester 4-barrel. Turbo 3-speed transmission is stock.Body was stripped and repainted midnight blue, frame is solid, and a new top was added.Since then the Olds has only logged 3000 miles.
The Starfire runs and drives like new, all the lights and turn signals operate properly.Power steering is smooth and power brakes are firm. The glass is in excellent condition and the power windows go up and down without any hitches.Even the original tachometer mounted on the console works (see video). There are some electrical issues which need to be addressed such as the clock, radio, heater, and A/C systems.
