1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme SX W-32. VERY VERY RARE CAR.... 32,500 documented original miles. This car has been driven 5k miles in the last 23 years (since 1995). The SX W-32 had most of the same performance options as a 442, but Oldsmobile made less than half as many making the SX W-32 considerably more rare than the 442. The W-32 option has the same motor and transmission that came with the 442. There were only 852 SX's that had the W-32 engine in 1970. 3.08 gear ratio with 12 bolt rear end was standard with the W-32 option. The W-32 option gave a buyer the Rocket 455, with a four-barrel carburetor rated at 365 h.p. and an amazing500-lbs.ft. of torque. Documented one owner near mint unrestored survivor. Factory A/C. Garaged since day one. In heated storage last 15 years. Unbelievable condition. 100% rust free. Completely numbers matching drive train. Runs, drives, looks like a new car.
MOTOR- Original numbers matching motor (W-32) Rocket 455 with 365 horse and 500ft. lbs. torque. The original carburetor has been rebuilt. New alternator, master cylinder, brake booster, battery, dual Flomaster mufflers, new exhaust from the mufflers back, new exhaust tips. Meticulous maintenance history. Fresh complete tune up.
TRANSMISSION- Original Turbo Hydra-Matic 400 heavy duty transmission with OG code designating a transmission with firmer shifts. Original 12 bolt 3.08:1 rear end.
PAINT & BODY- This car has had only one repaint in the late 90's. This was a high dollar window out paint job. The body was completely disassembled prior to paint. The car is 101% rust free. NEVER ANY RUST, EVER... I just had the paint professionally polished. The original front and rear bumpers are prefect. The undercarriage is immaculate. I have several pictures of the under side of the car on the picture link above. No wrecks or accident history.
INTERIOR- The interior is in MINT ORIGINAL CONDITION. Do to the car always being garaged the interior still looks new. Perfect dash with no cracks. All gauges and instrument light work. Original working AM/FM Stereo with eight track player. Perfect front and rear seat upholstery, headliner, door, interior panels, carpet, and interior trim. This is a very comfortable car to drive. All interior electrical components work flawlessly.
OTHER- Fully restored 14x7 Rally wheels. I had the wheels sand blasted and powder coated a dark gold color that complimates the color of the car nicely. Less than 200 miles on four brand new 225/70/14 Cooper Cobra radial tires. Original spare tire with restored rally wheel. Original complete jack kit and tire lug wrench. All of the lights, blinkers, horn, electrical work great. Updated high performance shocks.
I have all of the original books, manuals, and records dating back to 1984. The car was always driven in nice weather and always garaged. This car has never been raced, it has always been cherished and treated like a member of the family. This is a UN-RESTORED ORIGINAL NEAR MINT TIME CAPSULE. The Cutlass SX W-32 is the rarest muscle car Oldsmobile ever built. This is a documented one owner W-32. 32,500 original documented miles. The provenance does not get better than that.... I have decided, very regretfully, too sell this car out of my collection. The car runs and drives exceptional. This is the best driving, and most comfortable muscle car I have ever owned.
***SX W-32 SPECS***
*Built only in 1970 the Cutlass Supreme SX W-32 offered muscle car power, without air-induction hoods and body stripes. Hinting at performance were the chrome exhaust trumpets through cutouts in the rear bumper (ala 4-4-2), but they were about the only sign of the iron being pumped under the flat hood. The only other outward signs of an SX are the emblems on the front fenders under the "Cutlass" script, and front fender braces on the hardtops.
*The most powerful engine option offered in 1970 was the SX W-32 option, which gave you the Rocket 455 with 500 foot lbs. of torque and 365 horse power.
*All SX's got the the Y-79 Performance Package. This included heavy duty front and rear sway bars.
*All SXs used the Turbo Hydra-Matic 400 heavy duty transmission For the W-32, the Turbo 400 had an OG code designating a transmission with firmer shifts. Only the W-32 came with a 12 bolt 3.08:1 rear end.
*This is the rarest Muscle Oldsmobile ever built. Only 852 W-32's were ever built.
