Description:

1965 Oldsmobile 442

1965 OLDSMOBILE 442
Ask yourself, hen was the last time you have seen a really clean 1965 442 with a 4 speed? Unless you are a collector of these cars, ou probably have spotted Bigfoot, r UFOs more often!
These cars are rare! They are great driving cars, nd they are fun to drive!
I am selling my true 4V coded 442. This car is a factory 4 speed car with a 455 F block with a 1966 L-69 Tri Carb set up. K Heads (W30 factory replacements), ooker headers and 3 inch stainless exhaust system, :55 posi 8.2 10 bolt rear, anual front disc brakes.
The bumpers are great shape, he side moldings and pot metal trim are in great shape, etter than most I have seen. All glass except for the windshield are original and date code matching.
All the following parts are included with the sale of the car!
  • Rebuilt original 400 B block, head engine that includes intake and exhaust manifolds
  • The original 4GC Rochester rebuilt in a box
  • 442 chambered tailpipes
  • original hood in great shape
  • original 442 chrome air cleaner that has been off the car for over 25 years and is mint!
  • very nice fan shroud
  • All the original front drum brake parts and hardware
  • 5 original steel rims with old redline tires
  • 4 original deluxe hubcaps
I am sure I have some other parts as well that came with the car.
Car took third place this year and second place last year at the Long Island/NYC Oldsmobile Club Spring Dust Off!
The interior is original and is almost perfect condition! Dash pad has no cracks! The carpet is in great shape as are all the side panels! Driver's seat has a small tear by the seat adjuster. Headliner is perfect, he console is not cracked.
The firewall and floor are original and are rust free!
The fenders, oors and quarter panels have no rust repairs... no patch panels. The trunk floor has 1 small patch. The frame is not cracked or bent. It is the true non welded 442 frame with the adjustable rear control arm brackets that only came on the 442 models.
The paint work is nice, ot perfect... some tiny chips and scratches have been touched up as seen in the pictures.
Car runs well, oes not overheat
Is the car fast you ask? Absolutely! Car moves, nd drives great! Because of the upgrade to the 15 inch American Racing Wheels occasionally I get some wheel rub.
I am selling the car as you see in the pictures "as is".
Buyer is responsible for arranging for shipping and all cost associated with shipping.
I gladly accept CA$H, nd a certified bank check... no IOUs, nbsp;Monopoly money, omemade printed or personal checked accepted. Car will NOT be released until all funds are cleared and verified.

If you were to buy the tri carb set up it would cost you $3500 - $4000... which is what it cost me, ndIf you were to find the original engine for your 1965 442 that was rebuilt, nbsp;a 1 year only block and heads it would cost you $3000 -$4000, o based upon the low end prices we are talking $6500 in extras on top of the car. Then you have the hood, he factory GM 442 only tailpipes, he radiator, he original steel wheels from the car... if the car was worth $19,000 by itself, nd the parts at least $7000 we are talking $26,000 which is in no way out of line.
