1975 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight Delta 88 Royale Convertible

This car has been in storage for many years - decades. The pictures show the condition very well. The reason for selling is my 95 year old Dad, who doesn't drive, wants to transfer the registration to his 1964 Cadillac Coupe de Ville convertible which he likes more. He bought the the '75 Olds for my Mom in 1975 who always took care of her cars very well and kept them very clean and always garaged, She drove it every day for about 6 years and started thinking it was too "flashy" for her. So she got a new Lincoln Continental and the Oldsmobile was mostly stored since then but used in weddings or special occasions. Once every several years my Dad got an itching to put it on the road and use it a little during the summer. Then he would put it back in storage for several more years which turned into decades. In May 2016 my Mom passed away so we sold her car which was a Lincoln MKZ. This freed-up a spot in the garage so my Dad got the 1975 Oldsmobile out of storage, registered and insured it and that's when I brought it to a mechanic who serviced it checked everything and did everything it needed except rebuild the carb and replace the gas tank. And it passed inspection. So it's been for sale since last summer at a much higher price because that's what my Dad thought it was worth. Now that the end of this second summer is near, I am convincing him to lower the price to a reasonable asking price to get it sold before summer is over. And I think $5,900 is very reasonable. Everything works as it should except what I described in the "Condition" paragraph. It hesitates a lot until it warms up but it still needs a carb rebuild because it doesn't take-off like it should. The tires are good tread but they must be over 10 years old maybe 20 years old. I remember getting new shocks on one of my Dad's convertibles 20 or 30 years ago but maybe it was the Cadillac, not the Olds. It has power seats and the driver's seat works. I never tried the passenger side. The power roof works but lately it needs a steady push and pull on the driver's side so that needs to be addressed. I hope I thought of everything to describe or the pictures will show it too. Thanks for reading this far!
