INSTALLED PLUGS FILED POINTS AND IT FIRED RIGHT UP AFTER ABOUT 30 SECONDS FIRED ON ALL 8 CYLINERS AND UNBELIEVABLY RAN PERFECT, NO LIFTER NOISE, NO KNOCKS OR SMOKE AT ALL. DROVE CAR OUT OF BAY AND TOOK PICTURES WHILE RUNNING. AFTER 2-3 STARTS IT WOULD NO RESTART AND HAS A CLICKING SOUND WHILE CRANKING. I THINK IT HAS STUCK VALVES FROM THE 35 YEAR OLD GAS OR POSSIBLY JUMPED TIME. Sunday 9-18-16 1 pm:I removed the valve covers, found 4 push rods bent like a pretze, 2 on each side. Removed rockers and push rods, sprayed valve stems with penetrating oil and got valves to move freely and are seated so they did not get bent. I should have it back together monday evening tuesday at latest after gathing parts.will update...

Soaked valve stems with penetrating oil, replaced bent push rods and drained old gas. Motor runs good. I ran it for a good 20 minuites and it is quiet, no knocks taps or smoke out the exhaust.
