1986Datsun / Nissan 300ZXTurbo 5 spd.w/ $1200 add on - Digital / Leather package. The 86 model is really special because it was the only year of the 84-89 Z31 run where it had these styled wheels, rocker moldings,flared fenders and 1/4 panels. Italsowears thesame color code ( lt. pewter metallic ) as the 84 50th Anniversary, which is the only othermodel with the mentionedfeatures.
Theoriginalpewter metallicpaintshineslike the garaged car it is.The moldings, handles, window glass,lettering,t-toppanels, covers,rubber seals, and all other exterior featuresare intremendous condition. ThewheelsarecleanandtheMichelintireshave great tread.Itdrives straight down the road with zero issues.Never intentionallydriven in rainor exposed to the elements.
On the inside, thecharcoal / grayleatherinterior still looks, feels and smellsnew. As you can see in the pics, the seats, carpet orother interior panelshaveno wear.The door trim, t-top bags,orig. headliner, rear hatch panels, inserts, dash (0 cracks ), center console, faceplates,etc. arestock orig.andall of the interior buttons / switches- power windows,door locks,antenna, window defog, cruise,hatch release function as they should.Theorig. stereo/ speakerssoundgreat and the clock keeps perfect time. All of the digital lights / read outs function as they should.Thespare, tools, jack, bolts, and inflator canister are still in place.
Mechanically, it starts, idles, and drivesas you would expectof a preserved item. The engine compartmentisstock / unmodifiedand servicing is up to date -a/c,belts,coolant,fluids all changed/ maintained at the proper intervals,The5 speed trannyshifts softlyand it performson all levels.The Turbo spools out just as new - 5-6.5psi of stock boost. Never been driven hard and it shows.The a/c is blistering cold and the brakeshave plenty of padleft. All of the other mechanical functionsareon point.
