1965 Mini Classic Mini Moke , Mooncraft Moke Sports

This is Mooncraft Moke Sport which is based on Mini Moke.
Designed by famous race car designer Takuya Yura, the owner/president of Moon Craft Co., Ltd.
They designed many formula cars, GT cars, Japanese F3000, GC, and some Le Mans cars for Mazda(1979-1983), etc,.
There are Moke Sports race series in early 1990's in Japan and only 27 units of Moke Sports ever built for the one-make equal condition Moke Soprts race series.
Mechanical is all stock, Moke chassis, driving position had moved to far back, high quality fiber glass body.
Lowed and modified suspension.Spax shocks and Panasport competition wheels.
Stock 1,000cc engine, single carb.
This Moke Sports had been stored and displayed for long time, after it had only710km(445miles)since new.I am driving it here sometimes and the car now has 860km.
All new tires, new battery, steering rack boots, fuel filter, muffler mount, etc..
Also, the gas tank had been removed and cleaned.
The car had original tires but they were too old. Now the car has fresh tires.
Ready to drive.
Has California title and registration.
It is one of a very unique example of popular Mini based family.
This is only one example imported into the USA.

A sport car from MOKE?
Make a sport car from MOKE, taking the advantage of its strong twin tube monocoque.
That was the concept of MOKE sport.It was commercialized and one-make* race was held later on. There are some MOKE sports on the street with license plates.
* One-make race: a type of race in which all the competitors use the same make car.
