Description:

1967 Mini Classic Mini

Imported to the US in 1995, by an English gentleman who was passionate about his Minis. He had it converted to left hand drive and then had a photo documented frame up professional restoration performed here in the US. The car has ownership documents back to 1968. Documentation records include original bill of sale, MOT receipts, tax stamps, vehicle warranty record booklet, and maintenance receipts. When I bought the car in 2010 it had been driven less than 1000 miles since the restoration and routinely maintained as needed. It drives as new and everything including gauges, lights, wipers, and heater are in working order. It is fitted with 10 inch minilite wheels and Yokahama radial tyres. The colors are Almond Green and Old English White.

In 2011 I had the engine and transmission fully rebuilt at a shop that specializes in foreign and british cars because it was not running to the level that I wanted. In 2012 I purchased a set of brand new 1.25" SU twin carburetors from Mini Mania as well as completely overhauled the brake and have invoice for $1300. Also in 2012 I had all of the paint fixed and touched up for another $2500. Since I have also replaced the brake hoses with stainless steel type, replaced both the choke and accelerator cables, and dimmer switch. In 2013 I replaced the battery and the fuel pump and the door seals.

As a collector of British vehicles and have been fastidious in the repairs and upkeep of the car to keep it in great condition. This was also one of the two classic Minis selected to be on show at the MINI dealership in Des Moines for it's grand opening and I have pictures of I beleive the then President of Mini and Vice President (Current President of MINI) of BMW and I with this Mini.
