This 1976 Mg Midget is a rust free Texas car that came to us from an estate that brought the vehicle in for maintenance and reliability upgrades. The estate offered us the car and we purchased it because we were impressed with how solid and rust free it was. The estate said it had $2100 of brake work recently done to it and we continued to improve the car by replacing the brake master cylinder as well as clutch master and slave. We then bought a Weber carburetor/manifold conversion and replaced the ignition system with a new electronic distributor, plug wires and plugs.The gauges all work, the car has excellent oil pressure, starts and runs very well and and drives/shifts/steers beautifully. The engine cools properly. The brakes function perfectly. The trunk is extremely clean, the top is nice and operates correctly, all the panels are great and line up nicely, the windows operate correctly as do the wipers. The undercarriage is excellent and rust free. The door jambs and seams are perfect and rust free. The car also comes with much of the original paperwork.As for flaws, there is a paint chip with surface rust by the passenger side headlight as seen in the pics. The brake warning light also stays on, but we haven't looked into it very far. It is a switch issue because the brakes function very well. The tires are weather checked but have plenty of tread.
The car has a fresh oil change and new wiper blades and is truely ready to roll.
