Description:

1979 MG MGB Convertible

Here is a 1979 mgb.I will explain all I know about it to the best of my ability. It has a LOT of good points.
First of all.The engine and transmission are included (but do not have carburetors)
The last guy that drove it passed away so I can not ask him why they were out.
The car has a good looking hardtop and good soft top frame with good soft top barely used so you are covered both ways!! I can not get the hardtop to seal perfectly but it does not have the seals which need to be ordered and then hopefully seal correctly.I do not have the side hooks. It looks great on outside and underneath
Beautiful shiney luggage rack!
Wire wheels look very good.few tiney dings on a couple of wheels but usable. The tires are new bought within last year and used to roll around.
The car has very little rust. The engine bay looks as nice as I have seen.Main floors are solid and it looks good underneath. The engine and trunk lid look fine just surface rust on the underneath edges. The drivers door has one crack.Small ding down low door/fender passenger side
The windshield looks great.Lamps look good. The seats look good.the each have a small tear on the outside edge.
All the gauges look good. The dash is cracked on top which is pretty common and be covered with a $45 dash coverlay.
Car has 52K
This is a great project car.Like I said the engine and transmission are out of car (but included) so they are a little of a unknown factor but body looks good overall, eye catching, little rust good tires, wire wheels, luggage rack, hardtop and good soft top.Its a great start for somebody and is mostly complete.Like any british car it needs TLC.I cant afford to run it over and over again on auction so I will part it out if nobody bids on it ..that would be a shame! Dont let that happen!
At the time of this listing I have 100% feedback, selling car old car parts 40 years old which means I strive to describe items to the best of my ability.I am sure there will be some little things you find that need attention.
